Yes there are firewalls between here and there, yes there is NAT at my end...What ports need punching, is rfc2833 the correct settign or should I use inband or info? TIA, I just

Agent Call Back LOGOUT?
I can see how you log an agent in, but how to log one out? For login I think I'll have our people dial something like _8900XXXX, then use $(EXTEN:4} to get the callback extension automatically I can't find any better way at the moment, all my outgoing CID info needs to point to our main trunk line, but I'm not sure I can make that happen any other way than what I'm doing now

Zaptel errors (power alarm?)
We've been having lost dialtone problems on one of our analog station ports. Just before rebooting this time I noticed these in our dmesg output....once the PBX comes back I'll get the times, but I can't help but think this must have something to do with it. Anyone? Do we need to have digium send us a replacement part? Ouch, part reset, quickly restoring reality (1) Power alarm

Cisco 7905G
Hi All Just received my first 7905G from a distributer here in Sweden. According to the spec this phone should be able to use SIP. Now I been looking on Ciscos home pages for several hours trying to find a "SIP image" for this phone. No luck at all, need special access to be able to download software to this phone. Is it the fact, that I have to pay for a contract of some kind to be

NMI issues...
I have read thru what other users have tried in this list when they have experienced seemingly similar issues to what I have, without success. I suspect there might be an issue regarding both the X100P and TDM04b cards being used in an Intel SE7525GP2 motherboard, as I had to even wait for a BIOS update from Intel in order to utilize my 3ware 9500 SATA raid controller on it (3ware Kb -->

UPS for Asterisk
I have several Linux machines some running on really old hardware and some on brand new, some run old distros (RedHat 6) and some new (FC3 or CentOS). All of them experienced power failure more then once, none of them has failed to load after a reboot. BUT, Asterisk is running your PBX. Your PBX isn't your proxy server, it isn't your web server, mail server, firewall, or whatever

Re: 5, 000 concurrent calls system rollout question
Why is using ulaw or alaw an unlikely scenario? I wouldn't use anything but ulaw\alaw. The Bells can compete on price and will if they have to. Where they CAN'T compete is quality. If there were something better than 711, I'd offer that. Well, there is 722, but not many things support it. ---- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions http://www.ics-il.com ----- Original

Openssh + AFS
The native authentication methods of openssh are (not counting insecure RhostsRSAAuthentication) 1) public key 2) password For users with home dirs in AFS space, method 1) does not work. Except with (non foolproof) fiddling on the access controls within the home directory. This might lead to security issues when done by inexperienced users. Without some work, only 2) remains. Using Shorewall + Linux Virtual Server LVS/DR
I''m havign a HUGE amount of difficulty getting shoreline to work with LVS. We use it here constantly so we know it works. The problem is packets come in, get directed to a webserver, webserver returns the packet to firewall, and then it goes into a black hole. rp_filter is off globally on all interfaces. LVS seems to be working right.... I use shorewall tcrules to mark packets on

IE/CSS issue using Sortables....but only on the first drag
OK, I''m in need of help :) I''ve got a bug in IE (whoa!) that I can''t figure out. I think its CSS-related, but I sure can''t figure out what the problem is. Go here: http://jerod.ontasksoftware.com/demo/index.php and drag one of the items in the center listbox. In FF, it works beautifully. In IE6, it shoots off to the left...but ONLY once. After

We're running dovecot 2.2.15 with pigeonhole 0.4.6, in a clustered environment, nfs with proxy and backend on all servers. I've been seeing some odd errors from lmtp: Error: mremap_anon(127930368) failed: Cannot allocate memory It seems to affect specific users, but it doesn't seem to manifest in any particular way; no user complaints. Just the occasional log message. I would

Asterisk and Cisco 7905G or Cisco 7912G
Hi, How well to the Cisco 7905G or Cisco 7912G phone work with Asterisk? Cisco claims both phones do SIP. I was strongly considering Polycom phones. However, it appears to be quite difficult to obtain support or firmware for Polycom phones. On the other hand, I find Cisco is very well supported. Thanks, Adi

7912G: Takes the same firmware as 7940/60?
Does anyone know if the 7912G (which the wiki says can do either sccp or sip) uses the 7940/60 sip firmware? I ask this because the only firmware I can seem to find on TAC for the 7912G is sccp, no sip...if it takes it's own firmware and doesn't use 7940/60 firmware, can someone point me to the right location for it?
