Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ
had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a
delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than
SJPhone.

Can WINE help me using Dell Axim from Puppy Linux 511?
Since I'm new to this forum I probably I'm doing something wrong, I'm sorry if this's the case!
I don't have a windows base system, solely Puppy Linux. I do have an Axim, though; can't do hardly anything useful with it since starting using just Linux. Went through many pages about WINE but failed to locate any useful info. That's the reason for posting my issue here.

Error connecting to Samba share from pocketPC
I've setup a wireless network with a Linux server, several Windows XP PC's
and a PocketPC running Windows Mobile 2003 SE. The Linux server is running
Debian and Samba 3.0.10. All is working fine, with Samba as a domain
controller and serving shares for the Windows PC's.
However my PocketPC is unable to connect to a Samba share (it can connect
just fine to a share on Windows XP)

PocketPC Softphone?
Anybody got any preferences for a good SIP softphone? Ideally, a free
download for the moment, as this is just for some initial proof-of-concept.

Hi Chris,
Where to get the 'double ##' transfer patch? We are having the same
problem and I was thinking of a similar patch.
Thanks,

Re: Applications of TDMoE "critch"
Juan,
I dont see people here with "attitude" or any need to shut down this
list as you suggested. Contrary to your experience, I find people to be
quite helpful here.
Steven's comment "Start here and then ask a real question" is definitely
not arrogant IMHO. He is just trying to knock some etiquette on Luan.
Besides, he did give him all the answer Luan was looking for.

Speex on iPAQ?
Hi
If there is anyone who have tried to use the Speex codec on the iPAQ I would be
VERY happy to get in contact with that person. I'm trying to use the eMbedded
Visual C++ 3.0 to get the Speex to work on my iPAQ but can't get it to work.
Once again would be very happy if there is anyone who have an example code for
the iPAQ or have tried to use Speex .

Project setting for embedded visual c++ 3.0
Hi all,
I'm quite new to Speex and i'm tryng to do a porting of it
for my pocketpc platform....
The encodig time seem to be too hight, i think something goes wrong
putting
--enable-fixed-point
--enable-fixed-point-debug
--enable-arm-asm
in project setting of EVC++ 3.0 (i've got EVC++ 4.0 too)
i do my test with an Ipaq 3850 (206 MHz IntelĀ® Strong ARM 32-bit RISC Processor)

Re: [iPAQ] Ogg Vorbis fixed-point math anyone ?
Actually, we have a integerized version of the vorbis libraries that are
available, royalty free, with a simple attribution requirement. These
libraries are 100% C code and run faster than real time on a cirrus
7312-74mhz processor (arm core). My guess is they should run at about
20-30% cpu utilization on a strongarm/200. Monty has this same code, but
his version doesn't play b4 content real

SIP on Handhelds
Does anyone know if SIP will/is support on handheld PCs such as the iPaq
or Axiom? With their integrated 802.11b and Bluetooth it seems like a
solution to provide a wireless based sip phone for any user would be
possible. Handoff between access points might be problematic but most
users I know would be using their PDA phone in an airport with free
wireless or at the local cafe, etc, etc...

Hi,
I encoded file in a ipaq 1940, pocket pc 2003, processor Samsung

quality output if this is right to entered parameters.

File encoded: http://padawan.ing.puc.cl/chavezq1.wav
The parameters for encoded are:

Is there a way of getting R up and running on an IPAQ 3870?
Hi,
I was wondering (as a trawl has not turned up anything) whether anyone
has any ideas regarding this matter? Does a version exist? Has anyone
been able to compile such a version? Any pointers would be most welcome,
as the ability to put an IPAQ to really productive use would be great.
Alternatively does anyone know of any other similar software to carry
out EDA and small scale post hoc

Re: Speex on a T.I. TMS320C5510 DSP
Hi Frank,
Actually, I just merged (in SVN) a patch doing exactly that. AFAIK it
allows Speex to run on a C55x. I think it should work for you with the
following caveats:
1) The static codebooks still take up 16 bits for every 8-bit value
(that's only a code size issue)
2) The bit-packer always returns a multiple of 16 bits instead of 8 bits
(but it uses all bits when packing).
