Record Application Problem
Hi everybody, I am having a problem with * Record Application. The thing is I don't want the "beep" before recording, so I removed the instructions: ast_streamfile(chan, "null", chan->language); ast_waitstream(chan, ""); ast_stopstream(chan); Now I am having a strange problem. After I record the sound, the recorded file gets a 3 second of silence before

Problem with DTMF detection in ast_app_getdata (*1.2)
Hi, I am using a basic VOIP phone (find here: http://www.tootoo.com/d-rp20207560-VoIP_phone/) on an Asterisk 1.2.26-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1y-q version of asterisk. I am running a C-based prepaid application based on MySQL that accepts dtmf events from the phone to authenticate. When asterisk is configured with DTMF mode rfc 2833 or auto (or any of the others in fact) the ast_app_getdata method

[LLVMdev] collect2 hack
Hi all, After a long time, I've updated to new LLVM. Everything compiles fine (which is great), but I see that compiling/linking into bitcode files still hasn't been solved in a satisfying way. Until that gets resolved, I'm sending an updated script, that will do the trick. Usage: cd $LLVM_PATH/libexec/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.0.1/ mv collect2 llvm-collect2 copy the attached

Development help?
I have a couple of quick questions that I do not see answered on the wiki or the Asterisk archives. I dropped an note to the Dev list and got an "awating moderator" notice. I realized I had left out some important info, so I cancelled the message and resubmitted it, but have not gotten another "awaiting moderator" message. I suspect it was too similar to the original that I

Getting to the last "old" voicemail message
If you have many old voicemail messages, to get to the most recent one, you have to keep hitting "6" until you reach the last one. It would be better if you could hit "4" from the first message to get to the last message and/or have a digit that takes you the first and last messages respectively. Anyone have any patches for this?

Share management, user rights, core dump
Hi All, First post so I hope this is pitched right. I've been successfully using 3.6 as an AD authenticated (winbind) file server for a while, and decided to have a poke around with 4 (I'd read somewhere that someone had got zfs filesystems to work with full windows acls with samba 4). I've got as far as compiling 4.1.6 and setting up a similar share. Server role = member server,

Can one adjust the voicemail-menu when using VoiceMailMain() ?
Hello list. The VoiceMailMain()-application has an advanced menu. Can I get a Voicemail-application that has less functionality ? I only want the user to listen to new voicemail-messages (and delete them), not the functionality with the folders and redirecting messages to other mailboxes... I've looked at the code in /usr/src/asterisk-1.4.30/apps/app_voicemail.c but it seems complicated

Re: app_valetparking.c for * STABLE (1.0.X)
Nope ! This is the one that tries to include PRE 1.0.X header file <parking.h>. It cannot compile on * 1.0.X (I have tried also to include <features.h> instead of <parking.h> (as far as I know features.h is successor to parking.h), but still without results). Thanks anyway.
