Different UK Caller ID question!
Here's a bit of a twist to the common UK Caller ID question... (Which I've got working nicely thanks to some slight changes in Jonathan McHarg's scripts off the asterisk-dev mailing list, and a Pace modem from ebay!) Can a standard BT phone that supports CID (Such as a BT Decor 310) pick up the CID information that asterisk passes out to analog lines or would I have to get an

User Profiles
Hello all. I'm in the process of getting roaming profiles up and running on a RH 7.3 installation, running as a PDC on an 'NT Domain'. I've been reading the PROFILES.txt, and need to clear some things up. Do the rules that apply for WinNT, apply to Win2000, specifically the NTConfig.Pol file. If it does, I can't find it on either the samba server or the Win2000 machine,

TDM20B and UK caller ID signalling
I have a TDM400 with 2 FXS cards, and a Samsung 6100 DECT base station connected to one of the ports. The base station appears to only support UK (BT) style CLIP Caller ID signalling. Does anyone know if it is possible to configure the ZAP channel to send in this format, or alternatively can you recommend a GAP compatible base station which will handle both BT and Bellcore signalling? Sip Realtime Configs Samples with MySQL
Guys, I'm having a hellava time getting realtime to work, focused on sipusers right now, followed the wiki and other examples but still no luck. Using mysql on a seperate server, asterisk actually sees the database and can poll the table "realtime load sipusers" at the cli but asterisk realtime engine is no pulling the user info. I'm using 1.2.4 stable and have the database

[fdo] Updated syncmail script for new CVS loginfo syntax
Hi, If you are getting tired of being teased about updating your syncmail script to the new CVS loginfo syntax, this mail is for you. If you have opted to use the CIA script, you have already switched to the new loginfo format. If not, you need to do now. For that you need to add UseNewInfoFmtStrings=yes to the CVS config file. Then if you have script using the old format you can escape it

point.in.polygon() in sp package: accuracy problems?
Dear list: I encountered some problems using the function point.in.polygon() of the sp package, when trying to determine whether some points lye inside, outside, on the border or on a vertice of a polygon. I have a list of point I know should lye right on the border of a polygon, but some of them are not classified as such by point.in.polygon() (see the example code below). To make a long story

Re: [S] Labels wrong with lrm
Dear Jan, Thank you very much for your excellent description of the problem and the self-contained test code. This is a problem that I've been meaning to either document better or solve for some time. The root of the problem is with the builtin S-Plus terms.inner function: > attr(terms.inner(asthma ~ pol(age,kx) + smok),'variables') expression(age, kx, smok) You can see that

W2K Workstation not reading NTConfig.pol
I have recently set up an small SAMBA network(just my server and a W2K SP4 Workstation). My Server is acting as a PDC. Everything seems to work flawlessly, users, roaming profiles, netlogon script, etc... But I cannot make this machine to read my NTConfig.pol file. I have it at my NETLOGON share [/srv/netlogon] with rwxr-xr-x permissions. I have tried with different filenames (NTConfig.POL,

NTconfig.pol not used
I am running Samba 2.2.7a on SuSE 8.0 and all Windows/XP clients in a PDC configuration. All runs great except for one problem. I cannot get NTconfig.pol to be used. I have placed it in the netlogon share and read/execute permissions are wide open. I turn on samba loglevel=3 and I never see samba even try to look for NTconfig.pol, or any *.pol file. This occurs for all of my clients. Any

rsync NFS automount home directories, deletes on 2nd run
rsync'ing from NFS automounted /home directories does not appear to work as expected. Initially it automounts all the home directories, and copies the tree. However, when I run the same command a second time, it deletes all the files for with the /home directory happened to be unmounted. Some more details: Using 'ypmatch -k auto.home', I generate a list of /home/ directories to
