IAXy Provisioning Using Windows
For anyone playing around with IAXy(S100i) devices, I am making the
following available:
Windows IAXy Provision v1.00
This is a from-the-ground-up development of a means of provisioning IAXy
devices using a Windows environment. For some users, being bound to Linux
for IAXy provisioning is not viable or convenient in some cases. This
application provides a GUI data entry for the various IAXy

Does anybody know why Digium S100I IAXy was discontinued?

Problem with IAXy
I'm having some problems with a bunch of older IAXy devices.
I have three S100I devices working. I can call each device from each
other and everything works perfectly.
When an inbound call comes in (from PSTN) and is routed to the
device, it works perfectly as well.
The problem is that when I place an outbound call (to PSTN), the
remote party can hear me well, but I cannot hear the

Busy signal from IAXy when not connecting to my Asterisk box
I'm having a problem with my IAXy not always connecting to my Asterisk box.
When I pick-up the phone plugged in to the IAXy I get a busy signal. I
have to hang-up the phone and wait a few seconds after the orange LED goes
out and then try again.
When this happens I don't see any connection attempts in the Asterisk -r
output.
When I do get the IAXy to connect to Asterisk I get a

IAXY S100I noise
Hi,
What noise should I expect to hear once I've plugged an IAXY into my
network and connected to Asterisk?
I suspect I should hear a dialtone?
I'm not sure if I have a faulty device or have a configuration issue.
Currently,it is making a seriously strange noise - machine gun like with
static.
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Conrad

FARFON lives!
Some of you have been following our progress on
http://farfon.convergence.com.pk as we blundered our way through the
development of a low-cost ethernet IP phone that does IAX and augments the
client options currently available for the kick-assterisk server.
With help from the denizens of #asterisk and kind words of advice from Mr.

Win98 slowdown lockup problems (Resolved)
Well I have spent the last three days pulling my hair out over why I
couldn't copy files out of samba shares from my linux server. The answer
came today after I signed up to this mailing list, and ironically the
answer was in the documentation all along.
The solution is read raw, an option that is on by default which increases
packet sizes up to 64k. Problems occur when clients have buggy

Hi all,
These 2 patches try to fix the "perf top" soft lockups under Xen
reported by Steven at: https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/2/9/506
I tested it with 3.4-rc2 and "perf top" works well now.
Steven,
Could you please help to test it too?
The soft lockup code path is:

arch_irq_work_raise

Bizarre DNAT problem...
Ok, ive been pulling whats left of my hair out trying
to figure this one out and I give up.
I seemingly simple DNAT is not working. Below is a
snippet from my rules file.

DNAT net loc:192.168.1.175:22 tcp 1022

POLYCOM IP 500 Setup
Hello, I just wiped out my old asterisk install and installed Asterisk
at Home. I was quickly able to get my Digium TDM422P working, 2 POTS
lines, 2 phones. I also got X-Lite working as a SIP extension. I then
tried to setup my Polycom IP 500, and this was not so easy...
Using AMP I created SIP extension 205 to be used with my Polycom phone.
I setup username = 205, secret = 123, context =

Setting DID info for analog Zap channels
Is there any way to fill in the DID information for analog Zap
channels? I've got a TDM422P and since I know the phone numbers
associated with each of the 2 FXO channels I'd like to set that
so that future extensions contexts can use it and the caller-id
info in the form mydidnum/callerid like I can with VOIP DIDs.
I haven't found if there is a variable that can be set with this
info.

IAXy - no dailtone
I have a brand new IAXy I'm playing with. I do not get a dialtone on
the phone, or any response at ll on the phone. No sound, no dialing, no
ringing. The phone and wire are tested and known to be good. I think I
have it setup correctly. When I give the iaxprov command I get this:

IAXy and DHCP
Hi,
I've got an IAXy, and provided it with connection
data - unfortunately didn't provide a fixed ip address,
but left with dhcp.
Everthing went fine, and I could work a while with it.
After a restart of IAXy, it didn't negotiate a new
IP address, nor used the old one. I even restarted
the DHCP server and cleared its cache. No success.
I went to another office with a different

How do you setup the timing in Meetme conference? I have a x100p and tdm4x card.
When I dialing to my conference I get a request to schedule in the past error message.
thanks

IAXy Static... and other issues
Hey Everyone,
I recently purchased a few IAXy units for some testing, and have come
across a some problems.
One of them can be provisioned but will not ring the connected
telephone. It also does not provide a dial tone when you pick up the
phone. When a call is made to the IAXy one of the green lights on the
board goes from a solid on state, to a flashing state that coincides
with the

Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 20, Issue 226
That was how I reset the black Iaxy I have used; I've never used a blue one.
What I found was the initial provisioning would work fine, but if I
tried to change the settings after having already provisioned the
device, the provisioning program would hang, so I Googled for
instructions on resetting the Iaxy to the factory settings. This was the
procedure described at
