Please help on chan_h323.
Hello,
Thank you for the job well-done.
I installed the chan_h323 of the asterisk-1.2.7.1 and with lib
pwlib-v1_10_0-src-tar.gz and openh323-v1_18_0-src-tar.gz and I used licensed
g729 from digium.
However, I am having a very funny behavour.
1. If I send a call on its ringing at the called side but the caller didn't
get the ringing tone.
2. if the called picks up the phone, I am

Problems loading chan_h323 on Opteron 64 bit
Hi,
I compiled asterisk and chan_h323 on an Opteron in 64 bit mode.
In the h323's Makefile I replaced in line 24
CFLAGS += -march=$(shell uname -m)
by
CFLAGS += -march=k8
and also tried
CFLAGS += -m64 -march=k8
Both solutions do compile, but when starting asterisk,
a load error occurs:

oh323 context for peers
I am experimenting with oh323 channels and h.323 gateways and a Cisco
CallManager. I am not using a gatekeeper at this time. Is it possible to
place calls coming into Asterisk from specific peers into specific
contexts?
In iax.conf eaxh peer has a context in which I can specify the context an
inbound call will be placed in. I don't see anything like this in the
oh323.conf file or the oh323

Forcing E.164ID with chan_h323 & or chan_oh323
I am trying to figure out the correct way to send my E.164 ID with
chan_h323 and or chan_oh323 as my H323 provider requires this in the
format of 'account-pin'.
With chan_oh323 I have been able to register with the gatekeeper and
can recieve incomming calls, but outgoing calls do not work.
With chan_h323, I can call H323 clients (netmeeting, ATAs etc) but
cannot place a call through my

Chan_h323 one way audio
Hi,
I have been using chan_oh323 with a latency issue even on the same network.
I am now trying chan_h323 and can only get one way audio. I am testing
using SJPhone -> SJPhone, and also SJPhone -> 7960 (SIP).
Any ideas? Must be something obvious that I am missing?
Thanks.

No callerid on outgoing call over chan_h323
Hi,
Has anybody managed to get callerid properly set on a call from
local to asterisk SIP endpoint through h323-pstn gateway to a
regular phone.
I'm using ata186 as SIP endpoint. It has 12125551234 assigned to it.
When I place a call to pstn I'm not receiving 12125551234 as the clid,
but a number assigned to PRI channel by phone company.
It worked with chan_oh323, but there were other

chan_h323 + openh323 CVS = no go?
Hi,
trying to build the h323 channel driver that comes with asterisk works
fine, but only as long as I use openh323-1.11.7.
Unfortunately, that setup seems to have a bug which misguides one of the
audio streams. (So while * can "hear" me, the phone remains silent.)
I suppose that bug is fixed at least in openh323 CVS. At least, I got
things mostly working using the external

chan_h323.c compile error
Hello all,
I got the following error compiling h323 support in the latest cvs. Below
the error is a diff to the file that I got to make it work. I took an
example out of sip as far as the syntax for ast_rtp_new. Not sure if it is
correct or not, but it seems to work. Please correct me if I am wrong in
the additional 2 arguements.

chan_h323 and menuselect dependencies problem
Hello List,
I've been trying to compile Asterisk with H.323 support and, after
correctly installing PTLib and H323plus (OpenH323), the Asterisk
configure script still doesn't detect the dependencies as installed.
I know they are correctly installed because after going into
"[asterisk-source-directory]/channels/h323" and issuing a 'make opt', it
correctly builds

PSTN incoming - both SIP & H323 always arrive in default context :-?
Some of you may remember seeing my issue using SIP for incoming calls
from the PSTN:
http://voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cisco+FXO
i.e. all incoming calls arrive in the default 'bogon-calls' context.
Well, I tried again using H.323 & get exactly the same result (both for
chan_h323 & chan_oh323)
i.e. all attempts to put a type=peer in sip.conf or a type=user in
h323.conf for

chan_h323.c
What happened to chan_h323.c in the asterisk cvs? I got ast_h323.cpp, ast_h323.h and chan_h323.h but no chan_h323.c. Hence chan_h323.so was not created so no h323 support in asterisk.
Just wondering when to expect it again because I was stupid and didn't make a backup of the asterisk code before wiping the directory for a rebuild.

Segfault on unload of chan_h323 in asterisk-1.4.25
When the support for h323plus was announced for Asterisk 1.4.25, I tried
to build this support in Asterisk. For this, I checked out the h323plus
CVS from SourceForge, which reported version 1.20.beta5, and also the
ptlib-2.4.2 source RPM from Fedora 10. I finally managed to build a
chan_h323 for Asterisk 1.4.25, which apparently loads correctly, but now
I see that I get a segfault whenever I
