Account codes in CDR
Greetings list... I have a Trixbox based Asterisk system and would like to implement a loose call accounting system. The system is built on Trixbox version 2.2.8 with Asterisk 1.2.24 and FreePBX 2.3.1. Because there are a couple thousand existing account codes for various projects, and new account codes are created by the accounting dept. I cannot create pin sets using the add on module included

IAXy DHCP lease not renewing
Hi, I have an IAXy which *appears* not to renew it's DHCP lease. The DHCP server is a Solaris box running the native Solaris DHCP server. Is there any known DHCP issues I should be aware of? Is there anyway to get the IAXy to log it's DHCP activity? Thanks, Glenn

Pass infomation between different views and controllers
Hi, I am a rails and ruby nuby :-) How do you pass data between different controllers and views? I have a page ( a quote) that I am editing url ....quote/edit/6 6 id the current id. I then go to a catalog (url....catalog) to add an item to my quote (I do this via a line_item file that the quote reads) I now want to go back to the quote. I have tried this <%= link_to ''Back to

some Maildir files not honoring dovecot-shared
I'm using RC15 on Solaris 9. The wiki indicates that when a dovecot-shared file exists, "Dovecot uses the same permissions and GID when it creates index files, dovecot-uidlist file, new mail files, etc." In my case, Dovecot *is* creating new index files based on dovecot-shared, but dovecot-uidlist and individual message files don't completely match the permissions/group

Problem with blind transfers
Hi, I am having an issue under a specific circumstance with Asterisk 1.4.26.1, using blind transfer. If my SIP phone dials a number (so I am the caller, happens on both Polycom phones and eyeBeam softphone), do a BLIND transfer to another nuber (internal or external) ${CDR(accountcode)} is NULL fo the rest of the dialplan. My dialplan logic depends heavily on knowing the accountcode.

Trouble getting feature codes to work
Hi, I'm having trouble getting feature codes to work in Asterisk 1.4.21.2. Features.conf contians this: blindxfer=## atxfer=*2 automon=*1 disconnect=** I'm really most interested in getting disconnect to work so that I hear "Goodbye" when I press ** during a call connected this way in my dial plan: exten => 1,n,Dial(SIP/14168724765 at 6135551212-sw1|120|gtT) exten =>

Ubuntu Jaunty samba 3.3.2 print$ no write rights even though I do; -)
Initially when I posted my access problems to print$ I was using the new registry based smb.conf I had my whole configuration in the registry. Now I move my printers and print$ back to the text based smb.conf and I copied the standard ubuntu debian [printers] and [print$] out of the original ubuntu package smb.conf and the only modification that I made was under the [print$] I change read only to

Asterisk's DANGEROUS Transfer CDR's
Hi All, PLEASE READ if you depend on Asterisk CDR's and support transfers. Apologies for the shout but I'm desperate to get others to agree Asterisk has a big problem with the CDR's that are generated for transfers. I can understand why not too many people are interested as transfers are complicated and messy. However for those of us having to support transfers and depending on

Just wondering if any new CDR functionality made it into the 1.4.16.2 release? I have looked through the ChangeLog for the 1.4.15 and 1.4.16.2 releases but didn't spot anything to do with changes in CDR handling. I for one

New to list -- glennrp
Hello, speexers. I'm new to the list and new to audio compression. I've been asked to look into creating a digital archive of 20-minute speeches (sermons) and speex seems to be what I need. My experience is in image compression; I shepherded gzip, deflate, zlib, and png through the IETF process, put "image/png" through the IANA registration process, and I maintain several

Bidirectional printers, LPRng, and Samba...
Does anyone have any hints or suggestions on getting some JetDirect-based printers set up for bidirectional printing in Samba? We're using LPRng 3.8.0, ifhp 3.4.7, and samba 2.2.2 From the LPRng standpoint, the printers seem to be set up for bidirectional communication fine.. but how do we get Samba to allow bidirectional communication? Thanks in advance! Glenn --- Glenn E. Sieb,

r2 for lm() with zero intercept
Hello list I'm a little confused about the R2 and adjusted R2 values reported by lm() when I try to fix an intercept. When using +0 or -1 in the formula I have found that the standard error generally increases (as I would expect) but the R2 also increases (which seems counter intuitive). I've pasted a short test script below to illustrate. I do realise that many will say I shouldn't be

large integers in R
Has there been any update on R's handling large integers greater than 10^9 (between 10^9 and 4x10^9) ? as.integer() in R 2.9.2 lists this as a restriction but doesnt list the actual limit or cause, nor if anyone was looking at fixing it. Lightweight ODBC DB
Glenn, I can't use MySQL as each node currently has MySQL however there is a lot of data that is stored locally on each box. I may have to take this route if I can't find something else but that would mean syncing all sorts of data that does not need to be synced.
