[Hardware] Good Server I/O on-the-cheap: ASL Monarch 811x with CentOS 4.2 ...
Since good server designs have come up in the past, I wanted to point
out a "low-cost" server option that has good I/O, and the vendor offers
_your_choice_ of not only Fedora Core or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but
_also_ CentOS _shipped_ with it!
IN-A-NUTSHELL ...
Starting at just over $750, you can get a single Socket-939 Opteron 1xx
(dual-core is an option) system with up to 4GiB of

BTW, it is 100% ALU and a major strain on the ALU LOAD.
In other words, it's not a good benchmark for even CPU.
That's why the 3-issue ALU in the Nx586 on-ward blows the

RE: CentOS Digest, Vol 6, Issue 3
Hi,
I checked the sendmail and it is:
[root at godslove root]# which sendmail
/usr/sbin/sendmail
Plesk uses sendmail and this is what is listed in my form that was working.
I tried my form at 7:27 am this morning and this is the last listing in

I am using a random intercept model with SITEID as random and NAUSEA as
outcome.
Thanks.

I tried using a dataset without missing values and changed my model
statement accordingly but still get the same error. Follwoing in an excerpt.

Hi:
I am using the following code to read a data set in txt in R and using the follwoing model. But it seems to give me an error ' expected variable name error pos 134022'. Any help is greatly appreciated.

list(names(anal.data))

Opteron Mobo Suggestions
I've been planning to build a dual Opteron server for awhile. I'd like
to get people's suggestions on a suitable motherboard.
I've looked at the Tyan K8SE (S2892) and K8SRE (S2891) but would like to
find more Linux-specific experiences with these boards.
Some features I expect are at least 4 SATA (SATA-300?) ports, serial
console support in the BIOS, USB 2.0 and IEEE-1394

duplicate "ghost" calls with long duration
Hello everybody,
I am running 1.2.10-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1s with florz-patches on Linux
2.6.16 with 4 HFC-Cards in TE-mode connected to 4 PtP
ISDN-"Anlagenanschluesse". There are about 40 SIP-clients connected
(mostly Sipura/Linksys PAP2, and some SNOMs and softclients) to this server.
Everything works fine, except that my CDR reports some very long

Oh please. It was all in light of people being anal.
Therefore?
I highly suggest that people refrain from being anal on the list. People can also go to the archives to see that top or bottom posting?nobody cares.

xen - 4 concurrent virtual DomU limitation - how to increae this? (centos 5 x86_64)
Is there a switch or config setting somewhere that would allow me to
start up more than the default 4 xen DomU instances?
I am finding that the CentOS 5 (x86_64) installation only allows me to
start up 4 virtual machines at a time. (It is definetly not a lack of
cpu resources, memory or disk space.)
Any help or pointers, would be much appreciated.

Concurrent Uploads with Mongrel
Hi there,
What''s the best way with handling concurrent uploads with mongrel? The site
I''m working on could have 100 users uploading mp3s and images, or there
could be 10... who knows, 1,000 people might be uploading files all at the
same time.
Thank you,
Dave Hoefler
