similar to: no dial tone when dialing out on vonage

Hi, I've purchased two x100p clones, and when I try accessing a line from asterisk with something like this: exten => _1NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(Zap/2/{$EXTEN}) (is that only supposed to put you on channel 2 or actually dial the # for you?) but I first hear noise, then a dial tone, but as soon as I start dialing numbers I get feedback and noise, and the call doesn't go through. After getting asterisk up I installed the zaptel stuff - then modprobed zaptel, wcfxs (for the fxo cards), which worked fine. ztcfg is showing two channels configured, but when I start asterisk and do show channels, i see no active channels. zapata.conf has: signalling = fxs_ks

Hi, the problems i previously had with "zap show channels" seems to be from an incorrect zaptel installation which is why I don't have a chan_zap.so file. I compile and do a "make clean, make, make install" of zaptel and do my modprobe's, and I was told to reinstall asterisk after that. Hi, I just setup two voicemail boxes - but after they record the wav file, they don't seem to email it even though i have the correct format in my voicemail.conf file. Aterisk doesn't give me any feedback besides the recording of the voip file... and then stays there. Secondly, I can't get the Playback() function to work. Thanks, Imran

I setup a vonage account last year, and cancelled it last night when I put my asterisk box together and signed up for a Broadvoice account to use with it. Now I would like to use my Linksys router as an MTA, but realize it is still programmed with all of vonage's proprietary information and I do not know how to clear it. I understand that just pushing the reset button will not do it.

Hi, I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have Asterisk successfully registering with Vonage, but when an INVITE is sent out, I get a "404 Not Found" back from Vonage

I just installed Asterisk on my server and I have Vonage softphone. I need my Asterisk server to receive calls through the Vonage Softphone DID and make outgoing calls through the Vonage ATA using an X100p to connect to it. Can someone help me out on configuring this? I really need this for my business and would greatly appreciate the help.

I know Vonage doesn't officially have a "bring your own device" type program, but they do offer a softphone. Has anyone gotten Asterisk to connect directly to Vonage? I have an IVR application that works fine from multiple DID sources, unless the call to that DID was from a Vonage service user. In this case about half the DTMF tones never get recognized by Asterisk. Has anyone else seen this? Suggestions? I'm running 1.0.9.

Does anyone have a working connection to Vonage via asterisk? (SIP, not ATA) I just signed up to test their service and they sent me a Number, Proxy, port and password. Every reference I have tried leaves me with a 404 error coming from Vonage. If you have a working setup, please post some config references. ?
