TFTP Server
G'Day All, Can anyone give me some direction in setting up the TFTP server on my RadHat ES3 box? I did quite a bit of reading, but I think I am more unsure now than before. I found the information nebulous. TFTP is already installed. I am trying to determine where the root directory for the tftp services is located so I can copy the CISCO 7960 firmware files onto it. Thanks.... Ferg

Samba and UNC Question
Good afternoon, We have a program that we run on a customer's machine. This program will essentially run a bash script stored on a network server via samba. During the execution of this script it runs a variety of Cygwin programs over the wire. Normally, during our tests and on a variety of other machines the commands it runs locally are executed very quickly. However, we have found a few

Advice on CentOS 7, software raid 1, lvm, 3 TB disks
Greetings - I am preparing to order a new desktop system for work. In general the new system will be a Dell Precision T3610 with two 3 TB drives. I plan on installing CentOS 7 as a KVM host, with virtual machines for Win 7 Pro and Linux Mint. I am looking for some advice or a good how-to on configuring software raid on the two drives, then using LVM for the host and virtual machines. I

[Xen-devel] [PATCH 00/13] x86/paravirt: Make pv ops code generation more closely match reality

Syncronize systemctl status with reality?

Logit reality check
Hello all: I've been given the following data and have been asked to run a logit model using glm(). The variable, Y, is a proportion ranging from 0 to 1, X is a covariate. Without a base number of observations from which Y is computed as a proportion, I believe there is not sufficient information. If I try the model below, R seems to grumble with a complaint. glm(cbind(Y,1-Y) ~ X,

Syncronize systemctl status with reality?

[PATCH]: Match Cygwin version check to reality
Hi, the following patch rearranges some checkings in bsd-cygwin-util.c to keep in sync with Cygwin versions. I moved the uname() check into it's own function so that it's easier to add further checks when necessary. Mismatch between code comments and reality in malloc.h
Hi Devs, I've been doing some deep code diving and I seem to have found a discrepancy between code comments and reality. This difference could hint at a bug or performance degradation, but I doubt it. I thought to ask to get clarification. In syslinux/core/mem/malloc.h, the comments and definition for arena_header, ARENA_PADDING and free_arena_header are: /* * This structure should be a

Inconsistency between rowMeans documentation and reality?
Dear List, I'm not even sure this is an issue or not, but ?rowMeans has: Value: A numeric or complex array of suitable size, or a vector if the result is one-dimensional. The ?dimnames? (or ?names? for a vector result) are taken from the original array. If there are no values in a range to be summed over (after removing missing values with ?na.rm = TRUE?), that

RESOLVED - TE405P vs. SoundCard problem (in reality - TE405P No Voice Problem)
Forget the sound card. It isn't related. The subject above should have read 'TE405P No Voice Problem' or something similar. It appears to be a zaptel timing issue, but I have found a workaround. For those of you just tuning in, here is the story: I have a CentOS/Intel 865 box currently running Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and zap 1.2.5, both compiled from the source available off the main

After a 'virsh blockpull', 'virsh snapshot-list --tree' o/p does not reflect reality
Hi (Eric?), A couple of questions while using the 'virsh blockpull' Summary: 1] Created snapshots this way: base<-snap1<-snap2<-snap3 (online, external snapshot --disk-only) 2] I did a 'virsh blockpull' from snap2 into snap3 3] Next, did another 'virsh blockpull' from snap1 into snap3 - Here, 'qemu-img info /path/to/snap3' shows its backing file

Streaming Music On Hold - Reality Check
Thanks to this thread, we got it working too... but have a question... Once this is setup... does it stream forever, or does the stream only start when someone goes on hold/into a queue/etc? If it streams forever, at 24k... it looks like over 7GB/month in bandwidth... so we're not going to want to do that if a) it streams constantly and b) my math is correct. Thanks, Doug >

Reality Check -> Roaming Profiles
Disclaimer... I know Roaming Profiles are a modern day example of "the emperor?s new cloths". I also know that 2+2=4. Let's think Linux/Unix here a second. Preference files are stored in the user's home dir. A user can log in (text or X) multiple times, they will always get the same home dir. Thus each login instance will share those config files. The same just happens to be

7960 Not Picking up new firmware.
G'Day All. So I got the TFTP server all set up -thanks to much help from this list- the 7960 found it and updated to SIP the first firmware P0S30200. What I am now trying to do is upgrate through all the versions, as recommended, to the latest version, P003-07-3-00. I thought this would be accomplished by simply changing the sole line in the OS79XX.TXT file to P0S30203 and reboot the phone.
