OT: BRI ISDN question
I am going to try and use a passive AVM fritz BRI card for my * setup..
Here is the thing.. I need to order my BRI from BT.. The service that looks to be the one to use is what they call ISDN 2e becasue this has the option to setup hunt groups across multiple ISDN2e lines so I could add another line later to get 4 channels..
According to the BT website in order to use the hunt grouping across

quadBRI and UK ISDN2e
Morning Asterikians,
I've just got my nice shiny quadBRI card, and it seems to be working
very well - except for one little issue - CallerID.
The card is currently connected to an ISDN2e line in P2P mode, and an S0
adapter on our existing alcatel PBX. The S0 connection recieves callerID
and displays it correctly - the 2e line doesn't, and BT have said that
CLID was enabled on the

ISDN + chan_capi
I really can't understand what is happening.
I have the same set up in two locations:- 2 fritz cards in each with the
patches and the same capi.conf except for the MSNs. One installation
calls in on controller 1 and starts calls out on controller 2, i.e.
perfect. The other calls come in on both controllers at the same time.
I have checked the patches etc. Is this possibly a problem caused

AVM C4, asterisk-1.0.8, /etc/asterisk/capi.conf
Has anyone a working /etc/asterisk/capi.conf example for Germany or
Switzerland using the AVM C4 - ISDN Card.
I try to connect asterisk to 3 wires BRI-ISDN (Swisscom).
I appreciate your help and it would save me a lot of time, figuring
it out by myself.

libpri and NT-Point to multi-point
Hi,
At the moment, libpri /w Asterisk 1.6, Dahdi 2.1, is not supporting NT-Point
to multi-point mode.
Here (France), most small PBXes are connected to ISDN through BRI trunks in
PtmP (don't know why but it seems the general case).
So this NT-PtmP function would be very helpful to easily slide an Asterisk
box between an existing PBX and the network.
Does the same case apply elsewhere (UK,

Submitting ISDN-MSN from a SIP-Phone
Hello,
i wonder why i didn't find a solution for this problem yet, because it
seems very common:
I have an asterisk server with an AVM (Fritz) ISDN-Card (BRI), and some SIP-Softphones which i can call from outside by calling the phonenumber of the
Asterisk-Server and then dialing the number of the SIP-Phone.
If I make a call from a SIP-Phone into PSTN, only the MSN of the asterisk-server

chan_capi-cm 0.6.4 random outgoing MSN problem
I've having a big problem after having upgraded to 1.2.4 and
chan_capi-cm 0.6.4
When making outgoing calls I don't seem to have any control over the CLI
that is presented to the called party -- it can be any one of the MSNs
allocated to the line, allocated on what seems to be a random basis.
This is on a BT Business Highway line (which is essentially an ISDN2e
line with two built-in

OT - Avantages of ISDN PtP and PtmP
Hi,
Reading http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/bri.html , it seems PtP is
the way to connect businesses but if you read
http://public.swbell.net/ISDN/connect.html you would think the opposite.
Can anyone elaborate a bit PtP or PtmP respective advantages ?
Cheers

Which policy for ISDN BRI support in NT/PtMP ?
Hi,
As you may know, these ISDN BRI features are very important here in Europe
as ISDN Basic Rate Access is very popular among Small & Medium Entreprises.
I don't really know why but it seems that in many countries, default is to
install small PBX using Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) mode as opposed to
Point-to-Point (PtP) which is the norm for PRI.
So basically, in several countries, SME

Multiple DDI & Hunting on Analog Lines (UK)
Hi everyone,
I want to get multiple DDI's and hunting across those DDI's in case one of the lines is busy using analog phone lines. The system is for a large house so I want 3 x PSTN lines. 3 x DDI's and the ability for those DDI's to be presented across all three PSTN lines.
BT say you can't have more than one DDI number associated with a PSTN line and that you can't

B410p, Ast1.4, France Télecom Numeris Double T0 problem
Hi.
When I call my RNIS numbers (with a mobile phone for example), I can
see 2 incoming calls on the IPBX, which should not happend.
I'm not sure if it's a problem with the telco France Telecom and their
ISDN setup, or if it's a problem
with the MISDN driver on the IPBX itself.
I'm stuck ...
Any advices for troubleshooting that?
Someone provide working configuration files

chan_capi-cm, Euro ISDN bus: 2 extensions on same BRI port not working
Hello,
I am using a system with an AVM ISDN PCI card (fcpci) and asterisk with
chan_capi-cm-0.6. The hardware is connected to a Siemens Hipath 3550 PBX. As
a BRI connection has 2 channels and allows 2 simultaneous calls,
numbers/MSNs 6391 and 6392 were for provisioned for each channel. The system
is working (partly, read on), the trick is the correct cable wiring and
setup the PBX's port

Asterisk answering only one (dialed-) Number on a PTMP (German "Mehrgeräteanschluss")?
Hi,
please excuse my poor englisch.
Is it possible to connect a (privat Test-Asterisk) to my privat ISDN and allow him to only answer one dialed number?
We have 3 up to 10 Numbers on each (Euro-)ISDN (2 b-chanels), it cant't be done by the last Digits cause the numbers are completely different.
For Example:
I have 3 Numbers (641717, 928752....)
