CallerID/chan_sccp
When sending a call to a line defined on chan_sccp, there is an error on the console that says: Jun 7 08:22:29 WARNING[3924]: sccp_channel.c:79 sccp_channel_send_callinfo: Incoming call SCCP/Line1-00000008 doesn't have CallerId name Is this because of the changes in the callerid name from stable to head? Or does someone know of a way to correct this? -- respectfully, Joseph

Operator Panels?
Ok, we're trying to use Asterisk as a PBX in our office. Our original plan was to use a Cisco 7960 with a 7914 attached. Short story is, no one updated chan_sccp in a long time and the 7914 is questionable at best anyway from what I've heard. We couldn't ever get chan_sccp to compile, I went to an older version of Asterisk and that broke some of our SIP devices. We tried using a couple

new cisco ip video phone?
Hi, Just finished watching the season finale of '24' the TV series. Throughout the series they have been showcasing Cisco hardware especially Cisco IP phones (7970's). On the last episode or two they showed what seemed to me a new cisco IP video phone. It stands just as a 12" lcd screen with the cisco branding/logo and letters just as the 79xx series. I wonder if this is a

Cisco 7960 mic generating noise on other end
Hi, I'm having a problem with one of our 7960. They all run latest 7.4 SIP firmware. The problem appears on the other end. The other end constantly hears a 'crackling' noise. I have tested using phone set, headset and speaker and the noise appears on all cases. I have other 7960 setup exactly same way (using same asterisk, firmware, etc) so it looks like a hardware issue.

Cisco 7960G, Skinny.conf, and reboots
I could use some skinny/Cisco help here. Was finally able to get the phone registered to * but whenever someone tries to call that phone it freezes and reboots itself. Same thing happens when you pick the handset up off the 7960G; it locks and reboots about 5 sec later. Here is what * shows when I plug the phone in: -- Starting Skinny session from 64.72.107.1 Device SEP000F3442E4A7 is

chan-sccp problem, phone is not registering
Hi list! I'm trying to configure the Kirk IP 600 wireless (DECT) system. The wireless phones are regular DECT phones, the Kirk IP 600 is doing the voip part by registering/gatewaying the phones to a callmanager server. The phones do not work and I think the problem is that they do not register at asterisk but I'm not sure because I don't understand a thing of the sccp/skinny

Voicetronix OpenSwitch12
Hi all, I used to have an OpenLine4 card, but decided against using it due to some problems with hangup detect. Does anyone on the list actively use Voicetronix's OpenSwitch12? What are your opinions on the card? Cheers, Flynn

Hanging up a 3-way conference when middle user hangs up
Apparently asterisk's default way to a 3-way conference lets the user in the middle hangup and the other parties stay on the conversation. This is great some times but it creates quite a bit of problems when trunks dont have disconnect supervision or when trying to do accounting and billing on the user. Here is the 'normal' situation when a user tries the setup a 3 way conference once

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than SJPhone. chan_sccp and CISCO CP-7914 Module
Hello list, Has anyone on list had experience with getting the 7914 module working with Asterisk, probably using the chan-sccp drivers? I have 7912 and 7940 phones working OK, I need something for reception, and I was thinking a 7960 with two of these modules would handle it, but need to know that someone has got it working somewhere (seeing lines that are free, busy etc) Mikel

Announcement: Another test release of chan_sccp
Hi all, we are happy to announce the new test-release of chan_sccp. The Cisco 7920 support is working now, however, some call handling stuff is hardcoded for testing. Also some more in-deep-knowledge of Skinny was archieved, how they handle calls. Please test it with your 7940/7960 and 30VIP and report any problems using our bug tracking tool. The latest tarball is available at:

Asterisk + Cisco 7920 + chan_sccp or chan_skinny
Greetings, I have seen a few postings in the past regarding the interop of Asterisk and the Cisco 7920 WiFi phone. To date, I have not seen a definitive method to getting the phone working. Assuming someone has this actually working, can that person step up and answer these questions. 1) What Channel is it working with (chan_skinny or chan_sccp)? 2) If code was used that is not a part of a
