Everytime I add or remove some samba shares, I must restart smb service to take effect. Is there anyway to reconfig it without restart?

I have source for a program that is attempting to open /dev/nvidia0 then on failure open /dev/dri/card0 to get some vsync settings. Neither of those two files is found on my laptop in /dev. Is this because of udev? I cant find anthing in /dev that might be used instead. Any ideas on what to open to read vsync information from X windows? Thanks, Jerry

I have had my "nv" driver lock up a number of times. I downloaded the "nvidia" drivers and they did not work at 1920x1080 resolution. I am looking for an updated driver for just "nv". I have a dell inspiron 8200 laptop . Install went fine. After booting and using my laptop for a while my mouse pointer just disappears. Any ideas? Any way to restart my mouse pointer? I installed C7 along with MATE desktop... My monitor is a 4K unit but when I goto the System -> preferences -> hardware -> Displays there is selection for the 4K display. It stops at 1920x1080. The var log x file shows the 4K resolutions in the file so that is good. How do I get the selections for 4K to show up? Thanks, Jerry

I tried adding wwww to my dial string... It appears to not made any differnece. I see by watching show channels that the w's are there in the dial. I have this box connected to bell south down in georgia. I have an identical box connected in indiana. The box in indiana works fine when dialing out. When in GA dialout is getting "you must first dial a 1 to place this call". show
