Hi !
I have a small problem. When switching a call (pstn -> sip user), I get the
sip phone ringing - ie. everything is OK, but I do not get a ringtone in the
handset on the pstn side. Can anyone help me out in how to make * play tones
?
My setup:

h323 gnugk to h323 asterisk and then to endpoint
hi,
we are using a voip h323 switch. the switch sends all caals to our
Gatekeeper (gnugk).
gnugk musst send all calls to asterisk and asterisk must do his choice
(sip endpoint or out to PSTN)
Making calls to our h323 switch works fine over asterisk. what must i
configure to get inboung h323 calls from our gnugk to asterisk?
any hints for me?
thx

sip over h323
Hi List,
we are using openh323 gatekeeper for voip telefony. We also have a voip
over ss7 TELES Switch for voip into POSTN Network. Know we want to use
Asterisk for converting SIP to h323.
Now my question. Is Asterisk an full h323 gatekeeper like openh323? Do
we need openh323 GK for astrerisk, too?. And how can i tell asterisk
to sent all none SIP-ip calls to the gatekeeper over h323?
thx

Apologies -- spam filter mail
My apologies to this list for an automated spam reply which made its way
here recently. I've been advised of it by several subscribers off-list.
I've disabled the automated response feature of my spam filter (Lars
Wirzenius's "spamfilter" procmail recipies). I'm finding the tool
effective but overly aggressive -- if anyone here has experience with
this tool, I'd

Recovering a broken mirror
We have a production SunFireV240 that had a zfs mirror until this week. One of the drives (c1t3d0) in the mirror failed.
The system was shutdown and the bad disk replaced without an export.
I don''t know what happened next but by the time I got involved there was no evidence that the remaining good disk (c1t2d0) had ever been part of a ZFS mirror.
Using dd on the raw device I can see data

telnet and Root
Sorry if this is posted to the wrong forum but as it is related to a problem
I have with Asterisk it may just scrape through!!
I am running Fedora 1 and I can telnet in to my asterisk box as any user
except root and am using the same credentials as logging in locally. I am
new to Linux and any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Neil

Fwd: 8.2.2004 Quick recovery and fix for unbootable machines with rescue disk
Hello all--
These instructions are somewhat OK but my messed up box is the only one
I've got basically to help with this problem.
Where can we find "correction" instructions using a "rescue" CD or flash
drive? I understand RedHat provided detailed instructions to supported
customers.
Thanks.

use dyn.load to redefine R internal fns?
I would like to redefine some R print functions (Rprintf for example) so
that they don't print to stdout, but save the output in a global string
array. I can compile and link my definition of Rprintf into a library and
load it with dyn.load. I don't get an error message, but afterwards the
original function is still valid, my new version isn't executed.
Is there a way to change R

R-1.2.0: gdb doesn't find functions in shared lib
I'm trying to debug some C functions I've written for use with R. Until
recently debugging them with gdb was no problem. But since I switched to
R-1.2.0 (from R-1.0.1) gdb can no longer find the entry points of my
functions. It either pretends to set break points but doesn't stop there or
it only stops at the end of the function.

dyn.load problem
Hi,
I'm trying to write modified versions of R save/load functions which read
from/write to a char array instead of a file pointer. I want to compile
my functions into a library and dyn.load them. Of course the new functions
mySave/Load will use some of the internal R functions used by save/load,
for example "MarkSave" (to be found in .../src/main/saveload.c). I
declared them as

Share & Domain Level Authentication Required From Same Server
Using 'Samba version 2.2.1a'
Please could someone offer advice in order to configure the following.
I need domain level authentication for most shares, however 1 share needs to be
made available to a
none domained NT client, such that perhaps share or user level security would be
appropriate. How can this
be configured on a single samba server.
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds

R --nsize 2M runs havoc (under linux)
Dear All,
I am running R version 0.65.0 under
a) Suse-Linux 6.1, and Suse-Linux 6.2, compiler gcc-2.95, CPUs pentium pro
200, 128MB, and pentium II 450, 128MB
b) Solaris 5.7, compiler gcc-2.95, cpu SUN sparc, 4000MB
When I set --nsize to more than 1M, R's internal storage management runs
havoc. gc() indicates the requested sizes, but the overall process size is
much too big: Running R with

I have a trouble configuring the qdiscs, when I indicate the "perturb 10" option to tc, i gives me this error:

if I don''t put the "perturb 10" option, it works.
another question is about iptables, when I indicate the " --set-mark" option:

v1.1 status and benchmarks
v1.1 plans have changed a bit. I'll release v1.1.alpha1 soon and hope to
have a stable v1.1 in a month or two. The rest of the features that
didn't make it into v1.1 will go to v1.2. I'll write more about this
when v1.1 alpha is released.
I also did a bit of benchmarking. v1.1's performance improvements are
looking pretty great, it seems to be twice as fast as v1.0.
