Can't dial SIP<->EuroISDN (HFC-S based PCI ISDN card): Unable to create channel of type 'Zap'
Hi,
I'm trying to set up an Asterisk pbx based on a Fedora Core 1 Linux box
(customized kernel version 2.4.24). I want calls from my SIP soft-phones
to simply be dumped onto the PSTN line via a BRI (EuroISDN). I have a cheap
HFC-S based PCI ISDN card connected to the NT1+ interface, so I need zaphfc.
I've read everything I've found at www.voip-info.org, then I've downloaded

register => 2345:password@sip_proxy doesn't care about port
Hi,
to register my Asterisk with a SIP provider I use the following
syntax, as shown in the default sip.conf:
register => 2345:password@sip_proxy
where
[sip_proxy]
type=peer
context=from-messagenet
host=sip.messagenet.it
port=5061 <------------- please note this one!!!
5061 is provider's port I have to register to.
This also would work for me:

[patch] linux-2.6 performance fix
This patch for linux-2.6 defconfig more than quadrupled iperf throughput,
restoring the gigethernet network performance to wire speed at long last.
Applies to xen-2.0-testing.bk xen-2.0.bk and xeno-unstable.bk
The throughput on linux-2.4.29 seems fine. I hadn''t tried it since 2.4.27.
The relevant sccs comment, from Dec1:

pbx -> fiber -> network media converter -> wifi -> network media converter -> fiber -> pbx ???
Please forgive the (almost?) OT post. (and the fact that I need a clue-bat)
We've got a situation at one of our sites where a construction crew is
likely to dig up our conduit which houses some data fiber and one pair
of fiber used to tie a Definity 3gsi at a small office building to the
rest of the phone system (school district). We're using a pair of

How would you burn up 20GB of fiber on a Xen farm?
Hello to all.
I''m setting up a high capacity farm that''s going to allow many
departments of a company or project have their own resources.
I have little to no control over the brand of CPU (I would have much
preferred AMD) and name brand of the gear, but I do get some input on
what goes in each node.
They are dell Power Edge 2950''s, found here :

Fiber or regular DSL Supported Gateways/PRI
Hello Everyone,
I am looking to getting converged with the local ILEC here in Canada
(Bell or Telus), and was wondering if I can get some more information
about typical setups. DIDs and channel offerings from third party
clecs does not fit our business model and that's why we are looking to
purchasing phone numbers directly from the ILEC, and manging our own
PRIs for a convergence of sorts.

Openfiler question - fiber channel?
Hey folks,
I don't seem to be able to get a response from the openfiler forums
(and they want 40 quid for the fine manual!), and since there has been
a lot of chat about it here lately, I figured I'd ask here.
Please forgive my terminology as I am just making my first baby steps
into iSCSI and Fiber Channel, and am not very well read on the
matters. So I could be using the wrong terms

Fiber Channel target with CentOS 6.7?
Hi all,
I've been googling for this for a day now and I can't seem to find a coherent structured way to build a fiber channel storage box where CentOS 6.7 is used both at the fiber channel target and initiator ends.
My Brocade HBA:s are installed and the driver loads just fine in both boxes.
Any ideas, pointers or URL:s are more than welcome.
Thanks,
Joacim
