I?ve recently managed to configure an SJ Phone to work with W2000 so know the configuration parameters work correctly. Asterisk doesn't authenticate properly and I notice that the authentication request appears different to SJPhone's. Do any tools exist to enable me to check these

Hi, I'm trying to use Asterisk as a SUA which would allow me to register on a SER running on the same machine and to send simple test messages through the CLI to another SUA located on another computer, registered on a SER running also on this other computer. I need the CLI because I have to work remotely. Is Asterisk the good choice? What kind of sip.conf and extensions.conf do I need?

I'm having problems getting Asterisk SIP to register with an Entice softswitch SIP Gateway. My provider tells me that all thats needed is a user name, password and the IP address and to register and it needs to be using MD5 authentication. I continualy get a "603 Decline" message.
