Large File support not quiet working..
Hey all, I'd like some hints on getting LFS properly working. I've got a
samba server sharing a directory, and I've got a samba client (both client
and server are linux, slackware 7.1 and 8.1) that's mounting the
directory.
this is with samba 2.2.7a.
what happens is when I do an LS on the client in the mounted directory
with large files in it, I see strange numbers. I've

Subversion, testing a quickstart guide, version control for a Rails project
I just burned 3 hours figuring out Subversion, so I made up a little quickstart guide.
Try the guide and see if you can get version control going in ... say ... 30 minutes?
I assume your situation is:
You are setting up version control on a new subdirectory on your
computer.
You will copy your entire rails project directory tree into the new
subdirectory after you get subversion running.

After USB boot problems on Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G
As I said before, booting is bigger than one bootloader.
I am replying to what I think was asked. I might have misunderstood
the questions.
Whichever the case, this email is less about Syslinux itself. If this
is considered too far off-topic in the Syslinux Mailing List, please
receive my apologies.

sftp resume support (client side)
Hi,
I implemented something because I get sick of resuming large downloads
from scratch.
Any interest upstream-wise ?

Hard Disk Failure
Hi All,
I had to reboot a machine as I lost the ssh connectivity to it. I could

Get MEMDISK parameters from WinPE 32/64-bit?
Hi.
I'm working on replacing a PXELINUX/MEMDISK loaded DOS based
installation image with a PXELINUX/MEMDISK loaded WinPE ISO image. So
far everything seems to work well (appending "bigraw" to memdisk solved
booting problems on several machines), but I kind of miss the option of
using getargs.com to get/set environment variables from the memdisk
command line.
Is there any way to

"isolinux.bin missing or corrupt" when booting USB flash drive in old PC
Hi,
funny or enlightening observation:
With my qemu-system-i386 it would work if the detected Heads/Cylinder and
Sectors/Head factors would change positions !
The effective read operation seems to use H/C = 32 , S/H = 63.
The correct LBA would be addressed by H/C = 63 , S/H = 32.

Reasoning:
I have transplanted the
