Problem in using bdh function for Govt tickers
Hi, all I wanted to fetch data from Bloomberg for govt bonds, and analyse it further. I am having trouble in getting data as when I use field=PX_LAST, it is giving the prices but when I use field=CPN, or ISSUE_DT, it is not giving the results and just bouncing back <NA> for that. Fitting data from a spectrophotometer.
Dear R-list, It is not uncommon for laboratory equipment (e.g. spectrophotometers) to have a linear response in a certain interval and then go into saturation. I wonder if there is an R-function that models this; for instance by estimating the breakpoint and fitting a line below the breakpoint and a constant above. Using MuMIn - error message
Hello, I hope that you can bare with me. I am new to models, but I think I have a pretty godd understanding of how to run them now, including how to use AICc and Anova. The issue is that I have many factors that I wish to compare so doing each one at a time would take forever. I came across the MuMIn package and I was so excited, however I am getting an error message and i don't know why.

Converting data frame to array?
Dear List, Please bear with a poor newbee, who might be doing everything backwards (I was brought up in pure math). I want to make a simple multi-linear regression on a set of data. I did some expreiments, and if X is a 4 by 2 array and Y is a 4 by 1 array, I can do a linear regression by lm(y~x). Now I have a tab-delimited text file with 10 rows of 300 measurements and an other file with

Polar graph of time and tide
I have been trying to visualize times of lowest tides, month by month. I have tide predictions with times either in unix time or a text format, and heights in feet or meters. I had been able to derive the clock times of each prediction. I would now like to graph this data with points showing heights as "r" and times as "theta", from 0000 to 2355. There is a seasonal

Re-install libwrap in OpenSSH
Hello all, after a useless discussion on the opensuse ML I had to find out that they buried the removal news of libwrap last year in some half-sentence. So this is unfortunately pretty late for the topic. Nevertheless it is pretty obvious that you did not get any feedback from people using ssh over decades in server-administration. Let me make a clear point: libwrap removal was a pretty bad idea.

Long call setup with non-PRI T1
We have 2 T1's coming from our phone switch to a digium TE220B. We have managed to get CPN and the extension outpulsed from the switch, but call setups are really slow. Our T1's are set up as E&M Wink, and they send us the last 5 digits dialed followed by the 10 digit calling party number (we couldn't get the switch to be happy with *CPN*+5* to use featd). We are using asterisk

Calculate the difference using ave
Dear R users, It may be very simple but it is being difficult for me. I'd like to calculate the difference in percent between to measures. My data looks like this: set.seed(123) df1 <- data.frame(measure = rep(c("A1", "A2", "A3"), each=3), water = sample(c(100:200), 9), tide = sample(c(-10:+10), 9)) df1 # What I want to calculate is:
