Flash on X100P does not really flash.
Problem:
Flash on X100P does not flash.
Phone line has Call Transfer. With this line plugged into a regular phone, it can receive a phone call. Then, depress the hook momentarily, release. Dialtone is now available. Dial a different number. Call is answered. Hook Flash again, now in a three way call. Hang up. The other two parties are still in communication.
Now, plug same line into the X100P.

flash transfer problem in asterisk integration with old PBX
I've tried to transfer a call using the Flash command, but with my
configuration it doesn't work.
I have a traditional PBX connected with a zap channel to Asterisk that acts
like an IVR:
TELCO line --> traditional PBX (FXS) --> (FXO) Asterisk
>From the TELCO line I can make a call to the traditional PBX and reach
Asterisk, the IVR system on Asterisk answers the call and I can

Transferring Using Flash
Greetings.
I am attempting to configure a system based on Asterisk 1.2.3 to be used
as a backup should our aging voice mail/auto attendant system fail, which
seems increasingly likely given its advanced years. The first part of this
task is getting the auto attendant feature to work correctly, which I
would have figured to be relatively easy. I have successfully built a menu
structure, but cannot

SendDTMF() behaves strangely
Hi, everybody:
As part of a paging macro I'm using SendDTMF to send digits to the
called party.
The section looks like this:
exten => s,1,Wait(0.5)
exten => s,n,SendDTMF(9531290)
exten => s,n,Wait(1.0)
exten => s,n,Set(MACRO_RESULT=CONTINUE)
To test I direct the call to a live extension just to hear what's
happening -- what actually happens is that only the 9 is sent, and

SendDTMF into a conference room
I have been trying to figure a way to SendDTMF into a MeetMe room using
the Manager API.
I can't redirect everyone into another context and then bring them back
because that would mess up my logic.
I am trying to use local channels and the originate Action to accomplish
this.

Sending a hook flash to a DAHDI channel
I've got a piece of CPE equipment that has an FXS port that I have tied
to an FXO port on a TDM400 clone card. Normally, if I go off-hook with a
standard telephone connected to it, I get a dialtone. If I dial a digit,
and send a hookflash, the device will provide a dialtone back for the
next available channel on the device.
I'm trying to recreate this same behavior with Asterisk,

festival problem
I have loaded festival-1.4.3 patched with the 1.4.3.diff file. Festival source is in /usr/src/festival dir. When I try to use it I get this from asterisk:

-- Executing Festival("SIP/chad-57a4", ""I am talking"") in new stack

App_festival crashing
Hi all,
I'm unable to put app_festival to work. I successfully patched,
installed and tested festival (interactive logon and telnet to server
port) which seems to work without problems.
But when I test it in asterisk I got the following trace in console:

Asterisk and Festival, getting gethostbyname failed error
Interestingly enough I had this same problem today....
1. I created the directory and permissions for the directory "
/var/lib/asterisk/festivalcache/ " (per the comment in the festival.conf
file)
2. I had to comment out some things in the festival.conf file: the
"host" line, the "port" line, and the "festivalcommand" line. I have
also noticed the

Patching Festival
I just wanted to try out Festival, but I can't get it patched.
I'm thinking that there is something missing from the steps listed
at http://www.marko.net/asterisk/archives/0209/0389.html.
>>tar xvzf festival-1.4.2-release.tar.gz
>>patch -p0 </usr/src/asterisk-ng/festival-1.4.2-diff

When I run the patch command, I get the

Festival Woes
Asterisk v1.0 is running on RH 9. I installed festival RPM
(festival-1.4.2-16.i386.rpm) and edited the festival.scm file to add:
(define (tts_textasterisk string mode)
"(tts_textasterisk STRING MODE)
Apply tts to STRING. This function is specifically designed for
use in server mode so a single function call may synthesize the string.
This function name may be added to the server safe

Asterisk and Festival (* dies with no info)
Hello,
I have Asterisk running on a RH9 box; Everything seems to be working as it
should, except for Festival. Every time that Festival is called from
Asterisk, Asterisk silently shuts down. Festival doesn't give any error
indication and Asterisk just plain dies without a peep.
Festival was installed per the Wiki, using source and patched with
festival-1.4.3-diff; it works fine at the

Festival tts
Hi I have installed Festival on the same box as asterisk and followed the
instructions to integrate it with asterisk.
Festival seems to work fine on its own performing text to speech from the
command line or via a file.
Asterisk answers the call but there is no speech. I can see no errors in the
Festival log file
The asterisk console shows

Asterisk not working with Festival
Hello,
I am having a Mac 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard). I have compiled and built Asterisk
1.6.2.9 and Festival 2.0.95:beta on my machine. Asterisk is working fine
with SIP channels without Festival. I have written following context in
extension.conf:

Exten => s,n,SayDigits(?1?)
exten => s,n,Festival(hello john)

x100p / Answer-> Flash -> Dial
I have an X100P connected to an extension of a Panasonic PBX. When a call from the PSTN comes in, it is routed directly to the extension where the x100p is . I want * to answer the call, play a message and then transfer the call to another extension via the Zap channel where the call was received (I need to flash the zap channel) . If this extension doesn't answer I want then to dial an IAX

Asterisk@home festival weather report
This script was developed by Mark Johnson.
All I did (Dean Collins) was type up the instructions and make it easy to understand.
This Script will allow you to dial and extension number on your Asterisk@home V0.6 or later pabx and have it read you the weather for your city
How it does this is;
1/ When you dial your extension it causes the weather.agi script to run
2/ This makes the program

Festival Installation - Asterisk 1.0-RC2 && Debian Woody
Hey All,
Thought I'd take a bash at trying to get Festival to work here on my lab
system with the aim of using it to create our IVR menu prompts. I've
spent most of the afternoon searching through the Wiki, the Festival
website and Google and I've got a couple of questions.
First one is that the 'Asterisk+festival+installation' page on the Wiki
mentions the RedHat 9 RPMs
