FW: No dial tone after installation
Oh geez nobody respond, I guess I have to be more descriptive.
I'm install Asterisk and FXO FXS Lite dev kit from Digium everything has
installed and I am getting an error message that my sound card is not
enabled. I'm using a Dell Optix (whatever). Everything seems to be in
order. I connect an analogue telephone to the FXO port? and try to dial.
Dial tones work however not dial tone.

No dial tone after installation
I'm a newbie, after installing asterisk software and the Digium Lite card I
do not get a dial tone. The telephone push buttons makes tones but no dial
tone. Is this a hardware problem ?
Can some one point me in the right direction.
Sincerely,

Hello.
Well I finally rx'd my dev kit (new batch of TDM's apparently.
I'm on Mandrake 9.1
There were no hardware install instructions, it would have been nice to know
whether the 4-way power connector was to be used or was for some other future
or expansion purpose.
It came with a floppy disc, no label and it wasn't even write protected.

addmailbox
Hi,
I am a new user to both Linux and Asterisk and would be grateful
for any help and advice anyone has to offer. I have installed Linux and
asterisk as per Andy Powell's excellent getting started guide. The problem I
have is that the addmailbox utility does not work and I cannot find the file
anywhere on the machine. I downloaded the files via CVS so assume I have the

using the asterisk mailbox utility
hello according to this user guide found at
http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm#_Toc49248768
it says the following
Voicemail - Please leave a message after the tone...
Ok, so you've got the basics going, and it's great - if you happen to sit by
you phone all the time. What happens if you are out/away from your
desk/sleeping
you'll miss those vital calls. We need to set up

addmailbox2 (Attached)
Anyone wanting to go ahead and use VoiceMail2 will probably need this new version of the addmailbox utility..
I have updated the addmailbox utility to create the correct directory structure required by VM2 and copy the required files to the correct locations.. I just called it addmailbox2..
I don't know if it will be added to the CVS that is up to Mark..
Remember to make it executable.. :)

Please help
Hi Guys,
My name is Marcias, and I am setting up for the first time an Asterisk PBX, I am learning as I go along. I have been able to download and install Asterisk, Libpri and I have been able to get Asterisk up and running. I have several questions:
1 .I can call the Asterisk server from my Xten phone and it picks up. I have 3 computers (one of them being the asterisk server) I can seem to call

Linking 3 Asterisk box, server in the middle type of thing? (IAX?)
Hi,
not sure if it's possible to do something like this. My main * box
here at home is sat on the local lan,
192.168.1.0 , also on this lan I have another * box which is running
as part of a wireless Meshbox
(http://www.locustworld.com) .
Now then, this meshbox has a wireless connection to another meshbox at
a friends house. These meshboxes
use weird IP addresses in the 1.x.y.z range

OT: Recommendation for Dynamic DNS on Meshbox?
I'm going to do a deployment of LocustWorld MeshBoxes in some of our remote
locations. Build 90 comes with Asterisk 1.0, and our plan is to use the
MeshBoxes as a WAP for non-Asterisk uses but also to add a 2nd NIC to deploy
Snom's in the remote location. This works fine (was suprisingly easy to do),
and I have the Meshbox running Asterisk and IAX'ing to our primary no
problem. They

reshape command is (stats) dropping instances
I would really appreciate it if anyone could determine what is going
on with the following command. It is only half-working and is losing
lots of data. For the life of me I cannot even see the pattern of what
it is losing and what it is not.
I am attaching the R data set which you can use with the Load
Workspace menu function.

Use of ICA for sound
Hi,
I'm looking at the "cocktail party" classic problem.
I can see how to use ICA to separate the components. But, How do I then create new wav files of the separated sounds so that they can be played?
Thanks

I've committed this diff. Please test and confirm that it works ok.
(If not, then I've botched the macro fixes in the previous commit)
Thanks,

[PATCH] Enable specific ioctl calls for ICA crypto card (s390)
This patch enables specific ioctl calls for ICA crypto card on s390
platform. Without this patch, users using the IBMCA engine are not able
to perform ssh login as the filter blocks the communication with the
crypto card.

installing mlica, or other ICA package
Dear R-users,
was anybody able to install the mlica package succesfully? Or other ICA
(Independent Component Analysis) package? But not the e1071.
I have found mlica in the archive
http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/R/CRAN/src/contrib/Archive/mlica/, repacked it to
ZIP, installed and got an "updating HTML package descriptions" message. But
library(mlica) gives me "Error in library(mlica) :
