CLUELESS NEWBIE needs help making an outboundsip call to PSTN

1) go to /etc/asterisk
2) open modules.conf for editing using vi
3) add this line:
noload=pbx_wilcalu.so
4) Save the file
5) Restart asterisk
Lightup the candles, open the Cabernet Savignon ( or whatever your
prefernce) and call your girlfriend.

so I thought the best way to test it would be via MoH.

More beginner questions
Using DIAX softphone which seems to be working OK can get to VM/echotest etc
in the demo context
Am trying to setup FWD but get the following problems
Can hear it ringing when dialing FWD no 612 for time. Connects but no sound
from remote end.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

Dahdi issues
Hello,
My first attempt to get dahdi running on 1.4.28... with a Rhino 8 port
modular card and a single FXS module.
Got the Rhino card installed and the machine sees it:

When I try to connect to * using a Cisco ATA 188 configured with a MGPC firmware (v3.1.1), I just

lost packets when bridging zap and iax
We have a machine with a TE410P in it acting as a client to route calls
via iax2 to our central server,
caller --> ( zap -> iax ) ---> ( iax -> whatever ) --> called
client server
often the called can't hear the caller (both machines on public ip)
'iax2 show netstats" on client machine shows more and more dropped

asterisk strips off trailing digit from incoming calls
so here it is, the problem that's been nagging me for the past 2 days:

Asterisk svn starting problem
hi
i updated asterisk today via svn no i can'T start asterisk i get core
dumps.
i have to comment some modules then i can start:
noload => format_au.so
noload => format_mp3.so
noload => format_pcm_alaw.so.so
noload => format_pcm_alaw.so
compiling was fine just some warnings
somebody has any idea?

Voice mail not working with Asteriks 1.2.5
Hi,
I have upgraded my PBX to Asterisk 1.2.5 , previously I was using
Asterisk 1.0.9, and Every thing was working fine ,But now voice mail is not
working. The error I am receiving in log files is like following,
WARNING[2413] app_voicemail.c: No entry in voicemail config file for '12'
I have searched for solution a lot can Any one of you let me know how can I

Asterisk Realtime and ODBC

My basic problem is that we haven't been able to get realtime to use ODBC to
store configuration data. Here are the details:

I have an ext3 filesystem that I want to mount without loading the journal.
I tried the "noload" option with both 2.4.9 and 2.4.18 series kernels and
get the errors listed below.

capi.so problem on startup
Hi,
I'm new to asterisk and try to get it work with capi.so. When I try to
start asterisk with "asterisk -vvvvc" I get the following errors. I
couldn't find any hint on the net what may be wrong in my configs.
Has anybody got a hint?
