I want to be able to recompile php, so I downloaded the src dvd and did a rpm -i php-4.3.9-3.15.src.rpm After doing that I wanted to check to see if I can recompile it before making changes. I was able to remove the NTFS partition and repartition the HD as a type Linux (83). Next I created the ext3 file system.
