<<< GSM Audio Files >>>
Hello: Thanks for the input so far. Heres the issue-- This is a production environment-- where many people "touch" the files. ie-- The audio engineer is a freelancer who wants to master the files at the highest quality TO HIS EAR and experience-- He knows NADA, Not a thing about SOX-- but is a ProTools GURU. The SOX resampled files work on our asterisk box-- but I gotta put someone

<<< MEETME_AGI_BACKGROUND inside MEET ME>>>
Howdie: I've been reading some old threads and still have a couple of questions about applying the AGI_BACKGROUND script inside a Conference. Perhaps someone can save me a bit of fidd'lin. Am I right in assuming that the MEETME_AGI_BACKGROUND script **WILL WORK** on SIP conferenced channels **WITHOUT** an **ACTIVE** zap channel-- AS LONG AS THERE IS A DIGIUM CARD INSTALLED IN THE

Quick bug in speexenc
Good day, a quick bug while encoding speexes in speexenc. While reading a .wav in function read_samples, size can get to negative values, as long as fread is able to go forward with reading the file. This can happen with Protools-generated wavs, where they put additional information after the "data" fourcc. I created a very quick hack by adding: int tentative_read =

Feature Request: OS X / hfs+ / resources fork
rsync is a very useful tool for me to backup from Max OS X to a linux server. However, would developers please add one feature: When rsync runs on an OS X machine and the source files are in hfs+ (or hfs) filesystem, copy the resources fork to a file with filename starts with a dot and append the original filename. That's the current behaviour of samba client on OS X interacting with

One codebook for all audiofiles?
[ I'm not in the list because I didn't find a digested version; please move the lists to sourceforge.net, and we would have the digested version. I read the replies from the archive. ] Hello. Would it be possible to allow Vorbis use the same codebook for multiple files? I could keep a 650 MB codebook on CD-R and use that for all my audiofiles. If that is possible, how much the

<<< AGI and EXEC function CONFIRMATION >>>
Howdie- Can anyone please confirm that the BACKGROUND application does ***NOT*** return IMMEDIATELY when called from within an AGI EXEC command? It seems that EXEC waits until DTMF or THE END OF THE AUDIO FILE to return to the AGI script. This essentially prevents repeated calls to BACKGROUND (or I assume any other asterisk dialplan application) from within an AGI, and prevents

Flac multi channel
Don't overlook the FLAC in Ogg container solution. That's established as a standard for some time now, as far as I know, and would probably be better than a new, proprietary multi mono bundle. I haven't used it myself, but people have been talking about it for a while, and I believe that some "FLAC" users are actually working with FLAC in Ogg container files. Brian

A possible use for multichannel ogg files!
Hi, Has anyone thought about using the multichannel format as a way of distributing "musician minus one" files? Eh? I hear you ask. Ok. Basically these are multitrack files but you can mute the solo track so you, the musician, can practice against the other "players". You can buy CD's of this nature, but of course, the solo instrument is on one channel and the others on

Very new - beginners questions
Dear all, I have 4 sites and want to determine how different they are from each other. For this I have decided to use R though it seems a bit daunting to learn. I have read data in from a CSV the structure is : Species1 Species2 Species3 Site1 4 4 7 Site2 3 1 0 Site3 0 99 6 Site4 75 3 33 There are many more species than shown above this is just an example. mDNS is not DNS mDNS (zeroconf/avahi) ( used for .local and .lan reserved tlds ) is an apple thingy.. mDNS udp 5353 DNS tcp/udp 53. Yes, dns tcp + udp. If and dns udp package is to large it switches to tcp. got that from wiets ( the postfix developer ) So i must believe him.. wiets is great.. Now with firewalld, opening up ports is now 'better' done by opening services. Flac multi channel
Thanks everybody for their answer. This is quite unfortunate for me, but hey, that's life. I will probably end up doing some multi mono bundle similar to what Protools did back in the days with its .L .R files ++ Le 26/01/2017 à 18:58, Martin Leese a écrit : > Federico Miyara wrote: > ... >> The file format allows some unused fields for future use, such as the >> padding

Increasing number of channels?
The stream header only has 3 bits for the channel count, so it's not possible to support more than 8 channels without breaking compatibility with all embedded products that support FLAC, not to mention old and existing software. Part of the benefit of FLAC is that it enjoys such wide support across computer operating systems and embedded devices like audio players and digital recorders -
