Receiving T1 Blue Alarm on asterisk 1.4.26, zaptel 1.4.12
Hello list, For a customer I need to detect blue alarms on his T1 trunks. His server is in running asterisk and zaptel 1.4. I have a tool to generate all sorts of alarms, but on generating blue alarm, zaptel recognizes them as red alarms. This is not good for us as we need to get blue alarm as blue alarm. I checked using: cat /proc/zaptel/* zttool Are these versions of asterisk and zaptel

zttool don't show NT mode with OctoBRI
Hi, Using Xorcom's bristuff-0.4.0-RC4-xr7.tar.gz (ie asterisk 1.4.25) with an old Junghanns OctoBRI (ie not the 2.0 version), zttool shows every port in TE mode, though half of them are in NT. Alarm column shows OK for every port, such as : OK octoBRI PCI ISDN Card 1 Span 1 [TE] Lay Globally, this system doesn't work (can't dial out through zaptel) Replacing this board

Slackware & zttool
New to list, going through steep learning curve with *, could someone assist with how to install zttool with slackware10, the normal make zttool fails, assume I am missing a dependency? (newt and newt-devel?) Trying to test Q.031 pri span with TE405p card, Google has little clue on Zttool and the * manual has a heading, but no entry? Thanks Magnus

Help: RED alarm on Wildcard TE122 card
Hi, I have been trying to get a Wildcard TE122 card running here the last couple of days. libpri and zaptel are all installed and configured to E1 specs. The jumper on the card is on, so configured for E1 (I'm in Norway). When running zttool, I get 'Alarms: RED' on the single card installed. Other information in zttool: Current alarms: Red Alarm Sync source: Internally clocked

zttool and errors
It appears that zttool doesn't actually report T1 span errors. If I inject BPV's, crc errors, framing errors, etc into a T1 span, the counters on zttool don't change.

T1 configuration, getting help via IRC?
In my * server I have a T100P, connected with a T1 crossover cable to an Adtran TA750 with 2 FXO cards. After I do 'modprobe wct1xxp;ztcfg' the alarm on the card starts blinking red. Running zttool confirmed that yes, it is a red alarm. I've read a few previous posts on this type of setup and I'm not too much closer. What should I be checking next? A different cable? The

TE405P intermittent yellow alarm
Folks, I really hope you can help me here - I'm beginning to tear my hair out! About 10 days ago my company moved to a new office. As a result of this, we've plugged our PBX box, which has happily been running for the last three years, into our new E1 line. Since then, I've been seeing intermittent yellow alarms. Obviously, since this was working fine in the old office, the thing to

beta4: outgoing call causes Red Alarm on TDM400P
Calling out on PSTN over a TDM400P seems to generate a Red Alarm - whatever that is. E1 R2
Hello there, Does anybody has already get asterisk to work with R2 E1s ? If so, what version combination have you used, between asterisk, libmfcr2 and unicall ? I've already compiled asterisk 1.0.9 patched against some unicall versions (0.0.3pre4 and 0.0.2[a,b,c]), after some code adaptations, but it stops right after an ioctl. Unicall verion 0.0.3pre4 doesn't even have the Makefile

zttool always reports "OK" on TDM400P
Just noticed that no matter what the line condition is, zttool always reports "OK", so it's pretty useless. (In contrast, I'd get "Red alert" if I unplug the line connecting to an X100P.) I'm using zaptel 1.2.15 on Linux 2.6.15-28 (also tested on 2.6.10). Yuan Liu

zttool user's manual & HDLC Abort errors
Hello all, Does anyone know where I can get an explanation of how to use zttool? I am running a PRI between to asterisk servers for testing and on one end of the PRI (the pri_cpe side), I see Tx/Rx Levels: 0/ 3 On all other PRIs, I see 0/0. Can anyone tell me what this means? The real problem is that I get HDLC Abort errors every couple of minutes on this PRI and I am trying to figure

zttool says tdm800 is OK, but it won't recieve calls.
I have a TDM800 that is installed and working. (TDM800 + 2 X QUAD FXO). Zttool says it is configured, ok, and there are no issues. Ztcfg -vvv shows that all the channels are configured. Zap show channels in the CLI show all 8 channels configured as they are supposed to be. When I plug in a pots line from the telco and make a call to that line, asterisk does not respond. (No Starting

T1 Sync clarification
Hi List, After reading a bunch of the docs, list post archives, it still seems that a clear definition of how to clock the T100P card is muddy. zttool says that the link is "INTERNALLY CLOCKED", does this mean the T100P is providing clock, or does this mean the T100P is getting clock from the T1 line side (ergo getting clock from the Telco) ?? If you have sync = 0 then zttool

X100P Ireland Red Alarm
Hi, Has anyone got the X100P to work with an anlogue line in the Republic of Ireland? I have the X100P installed but zttool indicates a Red Alarm status on the card. It is on its own interrupt and I have tried different PCI slots but all to no avail. Are there any alternatives to the X100P that can work with asterisk and are likely to work in Ireland? Thanks, Aaron

X101P FXO with RED alarm
Hi, I've just added an X101P FXO card to my asterisk machine. The card is detected ok but zttool always shows it in a RED alarm state, which I understand means that it doesn't detect the line. I've connected the card via the line socket to my analogue line using the cable that came with the card (and have also tried other cables too) but I always get a RED alarm. I'm located in

Description of Zaptel/DAHDI E1 alarms
Hello, I am missing any description of zaptel/DAHDI alarms. The TE200 series user manual contains only a description of LEDs states. These alarms states are visible in zttool/dahditool or in astersick CLI (zap show status) and I wonder what is the real meaning of these alarms for E1 channel. Possible alarm states (based on zaptel.h 1.2): 1. No alarms 2. Recovering from alarm 3. In loopback
