Background Playback fails
Hi Guys. I've had a lay off from Asterisk for 12 months but I am starting to look into it again. I am not very Linux savvy and found it hard going the last time. I've started playing with it in the last 3 weeks and I have to admit to making more head way this time. The first problem I'm stuck on and I cant find a solution to is that sound files that I have recorded (be it by

Sysprep joins fail on Samba >= 4.2.0
Hi, We have a samba 4.2.2 setup compiled from source, single DC, internal DNS. We've been using this samba setup in production since version 4.0.3. All clients are Windows 7-x64. Since we upgraded to samba 4.2.0 back in march 2015, we are not able to join client machines to the domain using our sysprep unattended image, but joining machines via the manual procedure using the Windows GUI

tftp pxe and dos
So I have a few questions. I have already made the base part of making a windows TFTPD running with memedisk. So that part works, but what I was wondering, if there is a way to some how add an option to the config file. What I have is something like this: label winstall kernel unattended/memdisk append initrd=unattended/winstall.imz That all works great, However, for each image, I have

Asterisk voicemail from mysql no longer working
Hi All, I hope someone can help. I have a system that I have recently upgraded to latest CVS and my voicemail is not working from mysql database. I get an error on the console saying " No entry in voicemail config file for 'number'" whilst there is an entry in the database for the specified number. It seems like app_voicemail is no longer checking the database even though

automated install over network
Hello, I've got a machine i'd like to put CentOS 4.4 on. Unfortunately this machine doesn't have a rom in it, just a floppy and a network card. I was wondering if i could boot it, then have it pick up what it needs to start the install off the network and do an unattended install vi nfs? Or, if that's not possible would it be possible to boot and load CentOS completely

Sending DTMF after recording new voicemail
I'm trying to use Asterisk for its voicemail capabilities while interfacing with a legacy Toshiba PBX. Is there a way to have Asterisk send a DTMF code to an extension to turn on the message waiting indicator light? When a user leaves a voicemail, I want Asterisk to pick up one of the lines attached to it, and then dial #63<ext>, which is what sets the message waiting indicator light

Power Fail Protection
Some of our largest systems run Windows because it supports engineering applications that we use regularly.? These applications have unattended runs that often take between ten and fifteen hours to complete.? We have taken the recommendation of the application supplier and equipped these Windows machines with UPS protection for 30 minutes at full load. The UPSs are Ethernet connected.? A support

How to make an unattended backup
Hi, I use AptVanBelle repo for samba, is there a way to backup in unattended way (I mean via cron) the DC? If I use samba-tool domain backup online --targetdir=/srv/backup --server= samba4.example.com -k yes -d1 It works, by it ask for password Administrator. What is the best practice to do it? hang up when going to voicemail
I have a little menu set up where hitting 1, 2, or 3 places the call through to a cellular phone over IAX. That works. However, if caller hits 4 to go into voicemail, the system hangs up. Am I doing something wrong in the dial plan, or is this a CVS change? I had no trouble with this until I upgraded to about 07/21 CVS, and I'm on 07/23 [latest] now with same results. My dial plan:

samba on ubuntu 22 lts breaks after unattended-upgrade
Hello, this morning we had the unpleasant experience of two DCs breaking at the same time, no logins, no DNS resolution, any call to samba binaries fails with an error message similar to : libldbsamba.so.0 : ldb_msg_element_is_inaccessible (cannot copy&paste as I disabled network access to this server). We first thought we had a crashed AD structure. Reverting to a copy one of the DCs

unattended install via nfs
Hello, Does anyone have a guide for setting up an nfs server for unattended deployment of centos5? Basically what i want to do is boot a system from CD media, pass a boot parameter nfs, and ks= options then walk away, the box goes out to the nfs server, finds the kickstart file, reads, and does it. I've got several machines and i'd rather not do manual installs. Thanks. Dave.
