duration sec and billing sec in cdr
Hi guys,
i've installed asterisk to handle multiple voip accounts. I've looked
at CDR configs, and managed to have cdr-csv files growing after each
call. It would be easier to check my locak asterisk cdr's than logging
into each account and check them at the provider website.
i found that if i ring my sip softphone from my ata, bill seconds are
counted correctly. however, if i

Zap/g0/ to a Telstra Mobile
I've installed a TDM400. Having a go with AMP.
I would like incoming calls to be put throuhg to an extension (at my desk)
and a mobile (cell phone) at the same time. Whichever picks up, gets the
call..
This should be possible with AMP (call groups, 200|201|0*0408xxxxxx), but it
didn't work, so I have created a custom-incoming in extensions-custom.conf
What is happening is, The extension

FW: LDAP Problem
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi Joseph,
I've resolved this problem for myself by changind the order of lookups :
$>cat /etc/nsswitch.conf
group: pgsql files
passwd: pgsql files
....
but it'd be a good idea to compile add the ncsd (nis caching daemon).
then the file will look like this
group: cache files pgsql
etc...
as far as I looked at the code I think the problem

CDR's are not stored in mysql
Hi guys,
I would llike to ask for your help on a problem I'm having with the cdr
functionality. I installed asterisk 1.0.4, and asterisk-addons-1.0.4 and
followed the procedures for installation and mysql configuration. Everything
seems fina. The cdr_mysql module is loaded, and I get no error messages. But the
cdr's are not going to the mysql database, they are going to a csv file in

Comments on Billing reconcillation with providers
Hi,
I just want out find out how to do bill recon's when you send calls to a provider. They send me
their CDR's, and when I compare it to my * CDR's, some calls are 1 second off, either way.
How in general is it done by others?

Telstra/Sangoma bouncing E1 D Channel
We just installed a box into a Melbourne site with a Sangoma A101U, it
is running the latest Wanpipe drivers and has Asterisk on it that
someone had compiled manually from source. This initially worked fine
but for the sake of consitancy we removed the existing asterisk and used
emerge to install it.
During this time the box was off of the e1 for about 8 hours and when it
was brought back

Sangoma on Telstra E1 Tx/Rx and Echo Settings
Do any of the Australian Telstra users have some working tx/rx gain
settins for the Sangoma cards on Telstra that I can try, echo is
acceptable but not perfect using 0/0.
I will also post them onto the wiki.

1. Agreed - use replication.
2. If you want an HA (High Availability, not dependent on a single Master DB
server replicating to a slave) solution, consider setting up Master-Master
replication, with an LVS (Linux Virtual Server) HA machine in front of the
two, so that writes can go to either server using only

Add Country to CDR's
List,
Does anyone know how to add the dst Country to the CDR's via Macro
(preferably).
For example, I will add a column in the cdr DB table and when someone dials
01158212XXX. I want the CDR's to show Caracas as the destination in this new
column.
I have all of the International destinations in my extensions.conf like the
example below:

Creating CDR's with online connected time
Hi there,
How do i setup asterisk, so that in the CDR's is only the time, which the
line actually was connected? Not the time, the line was up, but the time the
user was able to talk to another user.
Thanks in advance,

Fwd: call-id on cdr's
Hi.
I'd like to get the call-id from a call (the *C-0000061c* part) to set in
on a field on cdr's, like

Billing solution
Can anyone recommend a call accounting solution with rating for post
paid billing that works well with asterisk using the account code or
any other info from the CDR?
I don't want the billing software to any phone calls for me, therefore
any solution that modifies my extensions.conf is out, nor does it have
to allow for customers the ability to log in to check their
usage/balances.

Asterisk's DANGEROUS Transfer CDR's
Hi All,
PLEASE READ if you depend on Asterisk CDR's and support transfers.
Apologies for the shout but I'm desperate to get others to agree Asterisk has a
big problem with the CDR's that are generated for transfers. I can understand
why not too many people are interested as transfers are complicated and
messy. However for those of us having to support transfers and depending on

Multiple IF statements - is there a better alternative?
Hello,
Rather than rely on a set of IF statements (as there could be many -
please see below)), could the following be done in a different/better
way?
InternalMean <- mean(data1[,3])
if (InternalMean == 0)
Intresult = 1
if (InternalMean > 0 & InternalMean < 1)
Intresult = .95
if (InternalMean >= 1 & InternalMean < 2)

SMS to fixed phone line
Telstra (Australian Telco) has recently introduced a feature to allow
the sending of SMS direct to fixed analogue lines, with an appropriate
handset.
As best as I can figure out, this appears to use CID type signalling, or
at least on a line that otherwise has no CID on it, CID is sent, but
with a standard modem I can only receive the date, time, and phone
number (eg normal CID info).

Billing Fun - anybody know where to get a NPA/NXX db?
Hello;
I've been playing with a nifty Open Source java based report writer
called Datavision (datavision.sourceforge.net) and I've managed to write
enough logic to calculate phone bills at different rates from the MySQL
cdr's. (cdr_addon_mysql) Eventually I want to have sets of rate
structures for each user of the system - so I can bill client A at 3
cents a minute and client B at 2

Writing CDR's to two database servers
All;
I know that there are probably several solutions to this problem, but
what I am trying to do is provide some redundancy for my customers CDR data.
I know that doing simple backups of MySQL is probably the easiest way to go,
but I'm thinking that there may be some benefit to simultaneously writing
the CDR data to multiple servers at once. However, I'm drawing a blank on
this one.
