Help ! Echo on sip call.
I have the * server in a machine with two interfaces one internal (eth1) and
another external (eth0), I'm in the internal side and when I put a call to
another internal sip phone all is ok, but when I put a call to a external
sip phone I hear the echo of my voice, a delay of 500ms.
Is here anyone that knows why ?
Thank's a lot.

Hi list,
I have a weird (?) problem here on a setup running CentOS 5.3 x86_64
(and OpenVZ, and some home-brew L2TP daemons, RIPd, BGPd, etc).
There's a (VE in OpenVZ speak) virtual machine that has two ethernet
interfaces, seen as eth0 and eth1, respectively. Those live in VLANs,
but it's not important here.
The thing is that on eth1 the

Echo with two IP phones through Asterisk using SIP
I have Asterisk running on my LAN with softphone clients (SJPhone) and Cisco
7940/60s, all using SIP. I also have a few remote sites connecting to my
Asterisk server. I am getting an echo back of my voice when talking with
one particular site. The caller does not hear an echo on their end. All
calls on the LAN or to other sites do not produce an echo. When the caller
places his SJPhone on

Cisco 7940G/7960G SIP phones local echo on * box.
Our new * server with Cisco SIP phones is now working pretty well. But we
still have one problem that has not been resolved.
The Cisco SIP phones have a consistent echo. It sounds like about a 500ms
delay. This echo is not heard from the POTS side. It is heard when
calling another SIP extension in our office. We are running 6.3 firmware
on the phones.
Any suggestions would be

Teql and NetEm can''t work together
Thanks in advance!
Summary: when I load netem and teql together, teql doesn''t work
correctly. (If I load teql only, everything is fine)
I loaded both netem and teql. Netem is associated with eth0, and teql is
associated with both eth0 and eth1. But traffic only goes out of eth1.
Attached are the commands that I used to configure teql and netem (on
machine 1), and commands to

Why won''t this box route ICMP echo reply packets???????
Hi All -
I looked for mention of this in the archives but wasn''t able to find
anything.
This isn''t even an advanced routing question, it should be a dirt-simple,
basic, no-brainer, routine routing job. But I''m not getting it!
I have a Linux iptables based firewall system that is making me crazy. The
gist
of the problem is, even when I turn off all firewall rules

Thanks for your reply . I am attaching the files needed by you
herewith. The NAT device is called Pronto gateway which has two

client PCs are in 192.168.1.0 network [behind the NAT, the Pronto

Hello,
I have a routing configuration that I''ve been working on
and seems to be working well for me.
I''d like to ask for some peer review.
If your interested and can take a moment to consider this
I could use some advice on if this correct. I''m still very
much learning, sorry if this email is off topic or too long or anything.
