Handsfree Speakerphone
Hi, What is out there in terms of SIP enabled handsfree speakerphones? Looking for something that works well and also fits a low budget. I am used to using a Cisco 7940. It is a great phone but a bit expensive. Thought about the Polycom SoundPoint 300 until I realized that it does not include speakerphone functionality. Thanks, Adi

Mysql CDR
hello all, I am using the msql cdr module to store cdr in db, I realised that it does't capture the start and end time af a particular call record. Therefore I dive into the source code to add the start and end time into the query (add something like cdr->start, cdr->end), but end up getting segfault. the original version of cdr_mysql.so works fine but I need the start time and end

microphone on Polycom 550/650
I have quite a number of users complaining that when they are using handsfree to talk over a landline, the other end can't hear them. It's like the person is speaking 5 feet away and can barely hear their voice. However between internal SIP calls, it's fine. What could be the problem? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

TDM400P Issues
Hi, I just got my TDM400P card (2 modules) and i installed it no probs. The card is detected fine, but for some reason when I add the card to zaptel.conf i get the following error: --snip-- ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: Invalid argument (22) Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling? --snip-- My /etc/zaptel.conf looks

IAX2 Port strangeness
For some unknown reason, two of my IAX peers started registering on strange ports. Nothing has changed in the config, but they cannot make calls to me, however I can still make calls to them. In my IAX2 peers, the following is showing: user1/user1 203.XXX.XXX.XXX (D) 255.255.255.255 4585 OK (21 ms) user2/user2 203.XXX.XXX.XXX (D) 255.255.255.255 11280 OK (37 ms) I've

Ring-Answer with Polycom 501 and Asterisk
Hi Guys This has been discussed a little in the list before so my apologies for sendig it again but I have done what others have done in the list but to no avail. I have configured Asterisk to send the callerID of extension phones as "firstname lastname" and that seems to work well and extensions show calls originating on other extensions in this format. I set the following in

Channel Modem Failure?
Hi All, Something really weird is going on. I just stopped and started my asterisk server, and it just decided to stop starting. I only made one change to the config file for the musiconhold.conf, and now for some strange unknown reason, i'm getting the errors: [chan_modem_i4l.so]Apr 28 15:26:42 WARNING[16384]: loader.c:240 ast_load_resource:

GSM phones, bluetooth and general happiness
When I installed my first home-PBX three years ago, I was looking at "cellsockets" -- devices which will accept certain cellular phones and provide an RJ11 jack, generating the ring-voltage and recognizing DTMF, which in turn makes your cell-phone look like a CO line. Pretty cool stuff, in theory, but it just didn't seem to be worth the cost, especially since it locks you to a

chan_bluetooth, mobile handset as VoIP terminal?
I have been looking at chan_bluetooth, so far being unable to make it compile with Asterisk SVN trunk. I was wondering about the different ways it can be used. What I have read so far implies two possibilities: 1. Asterisk pretends to be a handsfree unit, and can use the cell phone for placing calls over the mobile network, or answer inbound calls from the mobile network. 2. Asterisk

Fax Detection?
I have looked though the archives on this issue and I can not find a final answar on it. So I will bring it up again. I have an x100p card.....if Asterisk picks up a call, and it see if there are fax tones on it, and if so transfer it somewhere. What is a user has picked it up. Can it still transfer it, or would the user have to? Thanks again, Michael

SIP Conference phones
Greetings list, Does anyone have experience with SIP conference phones? I need to source a couple for a client, but I'm not really familiar with the market - i.e. what's available, what's decent quality, etc.. A cursory googling has led me to the Polycom Soundpoint IP4000 at around the ?450 mark - any thoughts on this? If anyone knows a good Polycom wholesaler in the UK, I'd be

grandstream budgetone 101
Maybe I'm loosing my mind but I've just noticed that if I put a call on speakerphone and I press speakerphone again it hangs up the call, you would expect it to take the call off speaker back on to the hand piece. I'm using V 1.0.5.22 firmware. Is there any other way to turn off speakerphone I'm missing? Cheers, Dean -------------- next part -------------- An

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga.
