Moreover, I would also like to use APT afterwards.
I really want to try both of these.
I have used apt-get before many a times, but never used YUM.
Can anybody post the procedure to get this working?
Which repositories to be added, how it is to be configured?

Job opportunities for Linux. [OT]
I am currently into Engineering, and I am working slowly on my
Knowledge / Know-How of Linux.
I am eager to know about the Job Opportunities for people who have
considerably good knowledge in Linux. This thought has popped up in my
mind, due to the reason that I was watching out my Local LUG, and
somebody quoted like..."There aren't much Job Opportunities for Linux

Temporary root access to another user.
I have Cent OS 4 installed on my computer, with cable internet.
My ISP requires me to login to the account before I can access the Internet.
I require to type some commands to get it working. (It comes with a
software which I have installed)
But that requires root access.
I have many users on this computer, who can't access the Internet
without my permission ( And I can't tell them the

or APT, at a time, but learn both of them, sooner or later.)
Thank you.

Need Dual Boot Installation Help
Adding
title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,1)
chainloader +1
to /etc/grub.conf has always worked for me on every dual boot Win2k, XP, 2k3 / linux boxes I have ever built.
Install Windows first then install Linux. You do not need a kernel that has NTFS support and you don't have to play with NTLDR.
I know that this goes against just about every Dual-Boot HOWTO you will

a-gnome-oyences
Most of my users are on kde, as am I (I really don't like gnome). I've got
one on gnome, though, CentOS 6.4, and I have a problem: I have to start an
agent running ->on login<-, so that the same one is in the environment of
every term window he opens. In kde, no problem, I modify
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc-common so that code in there calls our (newer)
ssh-agent instead of the stock one.
