[fdo] Request to host project "OpenSync" a synchronization framework
Hi i am Armin Bauer, one of the developers of Multisync, an application to sync various pdas, cellulars and other programs (see www.multisync.org for further information) We recently ran into design limitations with our current version, which was where we decided to develop a new major version of Multisync. I started working on the new design but quickly noticed to there are a lot of other

Palm Pilot, USB, pppd and udev
I've a line like this that creates /dev/pilot link in my local udev rules: BUS="usb", SYSFS{product}="Palm Handheld*", KERNEL="ttyUSB*[13579]", SYMLINK="pilot" And it seems to work fine for doing normal sync operation to Gnome Palm applet (well, not sure about that KERNEL parameter, however ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 look exactly the same, no other way to

Trouble syncing Palm via USB
Hi, I'm having trouble getting my Palm to sync with jpilot on my Centos system via USB. When I sync, I get this error in jpilot: pi_accept Illegal seek Exiting with status SYNC_ERROR_PI_ACCEPT Finished I have jpilot syncing fine with this Palm over the network, BTW. For USB, I set things up for udev as described on various websites. Here are the relevant ports & symlink (created

Softick Card Export on Linux with Palm Tungsten E
Hello, I just installed Softick Card Export 2.19 (http://www.softick.com/cardexport2/) on my Palm Tungsten E. It is supposed to let me access the SD card inside my Palm without the need of an external SD card reader. This software is suppposed to be compatible with Linux usb-storage since version 2.15... but I didn't find how to use it. If I do "lsmod | grep -i usb", I see the

[leaf-user] RE: CF Boot media creation
Hi, I had the same problem last week. I got it work when I used an old syslinux (the one from Daschtein Utils). I think that the problem is with newest version of syslinux, but could get confirmation from the syslinux group. Nick "S Mohan" wrote: > > I'm home at last. I did a mixture of things. A few general questions
Hi All; I ran Linux as my main laptop OS for several years, then I got into a mac shop and bought a macbook. The macbook is ok but it just doesn't cut it per productivity so I've ordered another laptop (a 64bit laptop with 8G of memory expandable to 16G and 2 internal 320G 7200rpm drives) I'll be loading Linux as soon as the machine arrives from Dell. Here's my questions:

[leaf-user] RE: CF Boot media creation
I'm home at last. I did a mixture of things. I downloaded DOS6.22 floppy from putergeeks.com, extracted my old syslinux 1.75 (dos version) into the same boot floppy and made my CF /dev/hda1 as suggested by Luis (Hail O King - my saviour). Lo and behold it went thro' like a hot knife thro' butter. syslinux did not complain at all. I did an xcopy /s of my D: (hard disk) to my C:(CF) and

Getting JPilot working
I am trying to get JPilot working. I have configed gnome-pilot-applet, but it is not talking to the USB connected Treo650. My Treo has my name as the user, so from the applet, I see also a userid (my UID on this system it seems). I try to put that on the Treo and nothing happens. I have enabled the Backup Conduit. I am using /dev/pilot, which shows up when my Treo is connected via its USB

Palm Pilot Sync via USB
Anyone read http://www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=462523&rl=1 ? It is recent and tells you to forget the pilot-link from your distro and rebuild it with direct USB support: /configure --enable-libusb You are support to blacklist "visor" so pilot can control the usb device. Also newer code.

Hardware List Draft
Here's a list of non-PC hardware I found that supports Vorbis, with links and short descriptions. It's still kind of rough, and I don't have personal experience with any of these things, though where noted, I have gotten email from the company. This is still just a draft. I've made links, and also left the URLs after the headings so it converts to text well. Following the

The current state of palm syncing on Linux?
I've been searching around on the internet trying to find out about conduits and options for syncing programs with my Palm Pilot device. Google searches turn up a lot of discussion on the matter over a two or three year period, everything from people talking about doing it or how it should be done or how much they want it done. But I can't actually determine what, if any, tangible

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palm device application
Hi all, I'm new to the speex development mailing list, so I don't have much experience/idea about Speex. I came to know about speex when I was working on a R&D for my application on Palm devices. I've created a Pocket PC application, which is a talking phrasebook using .NET Compact Framework. In this application I'm using a 3rd party MP3 plug-in for playing my MP3 files,

Palm Hotsync success...
Well, after having given up uppon serial communication from hotsync.exe to the Palm Vx, I decided to try network communication instead. I am able to perform a complete hotsync even with Netscape Calendar synchronization. I am not doing anything special to make it work but it is not straight forward, neither. I start hotsync.exe, configuring it for network access only. Then I start pi-nredir

Yes I used. The problem can be the version of Asterisk? I use Asterisk 13 instead of 11. 2016-02-12 14:31 GMT-02:00, Shabbir abbasi <shabbirabbasi92 at gmail.com>: > have changed this > [dongle0] > audio=/dev/ttyUSB1 > data=/dev/ttyUSB2 > > To > > [dongle0] > imei=123456789012345 > > and imei exact same as on your device ? > > On Fri, Feb 12, 2016

Changing permissions on files that only exist during USB operation
A while back I got help in getting my Palm Pilot to connect to CentOS, and through the advice I got here I was able to successfully back up my files to the computer using the CentOS default Palm utility. However, I now want to use JPilot to sync and install files. But when I attempt to sync through JPilot, I get the following error: ******************************* Syncing on device /dev/pilot
