I am using IAX soft clients (firefly, IAXComm, IAXPhone) from a Win2K machine on a NATed private LAN to connect to my IAXTel account. All of my calls to outside numbers(1-800, 1-877, etc) seem to be disconnected after 9 seconds. Has this limit been placed on IAXTel? My call to the echo test number at 1-700-999-9613 seemed to run for as long as I wanted. --

For the interested people, you can download the new DLL (just the IAX2 version) from the following location: http://www.laser.com/dante/diax/wiax2.zip Replace the wiax2.dll file in the app directory with the new one and this is all. Hello, today I tried a DIAX -> * -> DIAX connection over the internet (768/128 ADSL connection on both sides). The sound quality was great. However, we had some latency problems, and also, if both sides where not talking the first words had some problems getting thru. Sometimes happens with Firefly softphone, now 1.9.9 (the current one) but has also happened with a hardphone we use (IAXtel). Did anybody tried MozIAX extension? It is Mozilla IAX2 soft-phone. http://moziax.mozdev.org/ I tried it yesterday on eee pc, connected to asterisk on local LAN and the performance is terrible! The delay is about 2sec or 3sec. and very bad echo. I think it is the implementation of their IAX2 in their add on, as I have tried external mic. and the same delay problem. As a comparison I've tried
