Zap and call pickup -- it don't work.
The problem: T100P connected to an Adit600. Channel 1-16 are FXS, 17-24 FXO. I have Zap/24 in callgroup 3 and Zap/1-16 in pickupgroup 3. When a call comes in on Zap/24 I cannot pick it up with *8 from Zap/1-16. *CLI> show version Asterisk CVS-04/27/04-23:48:08 built by root@tuck on a i686 running Linux The zapata.conf and extensions.conf are located here:

OT: OGG in the mainstream
There is a big, big difference between cbr and vbr, btw. The machine in question is a Pentium 3 700 oc'ed to 800, 512MB ram, win nt 5.1 (2k and xp being nt) etc In an earlier version the oddcast dsp ate up so much cpu time when set at say 64kbps (for examples sake) 44.1kHz, stereo that the machine became totally unusable and the winamp task had to be (slowly) ended with task manager. Now,

Your app release and marketing strategy..
Hey, Rapid web development is all when and good but when it takes 4 months to rise anywhere in google it certainly takes off the shine. You hear of zero to hero.. crashed the server.. minted before toilet break.. I was wondering if any heros would share their marketing strategies.. or prehaps an amazon link to "Post-Agile Web development". Does anyone plug an app purely based on its

Icecast "dropping" YP updates
Ok, we're getting warmer.. but not there yet. Icecast is no longer eating infinite CPU, no longer gobbling memory.. But we still got a problem. First, Icecast is still re-touching too frequently (or prehaps several times in a row) on the same streams: Mon Jun 30 07:03:48 2003 < [MiniFieldStorage('action', 'touch'), MiniFieldStorage('sid', '2'),

a new proposal
I'm hoping this is a new proposal, and not a rehash of something that's already been discussed and shot down. Without logs of the recent IRC discussion there's no way for me to know without asking. When I suggested it in #theora earlier derf_ or AndrewBachmann said that it had already been discussed, so I'm under the belief that this is a new idea. <p>Ok so we've

samba 3b3 irritation
hi just a quickie I've just setup a share in samba 3b3 and discovered it wont allow my share names to be longer than 8 characters (how annoying!) I don't have any ms machines below win 2k and as such I don't care how long my names are infact having a name like eposd1_logs is far more useful than epslt1 or something equally non descriptive. How do I stop sam3 from doing this? (there

Syslinux Digest, Vol 67, Issue 10
Hi Peter/Erwan et al, With my incredibly limited understanding of all things com32, years ago, I managed to write a com32 module to tell PXE users their MAC address, machine make, model and whether they were on a 32 or 64 bit processor. Users found this very useful when trying to re-image the 8,000 odd boxes spread round the globe. This was hugely based on Erwan Velu's dmitest.c circa 3.20.

Icecast2 YP extention
I think we definetly need to get YP authentication into Icecast2 soon, but I'd like to propose an extension to the draft now... with action=add: banner=URL This allows the Icecast2 server to supply a URL for a graphical banner to represent the radio stream instead of just it's name. On the server end it could fetch this URL, scale/convert it as needed, and prehaps use it with the name

native xml db for rails
Hey, I''m an xmldb newb, as I expect most are since xquery only got nailed a few months ago. I know nothing more than reading around the subject and a couple of hours tinkering with sleepycats offering. Enough though to make me realise the potential of an xml database though. I dont really have a spare supercomputer to parse xml documents to compete with a relational database on speed but

swapped mouse buttons and slow down in wine
(Sorry, if this post here is inappropriate. I'm a newbie trying to get wine working) I've installed wine20050725 from rpm, and it was running ok. I copied and installed japanese dictionary app from my real winxp partition to my fake c drive and patched the reg with the local\software keys from the xp reg. The program worked (kind of - japanese chars dont display except when using

Ok, prehaps a different memory leak/etc, but the Icecast processes on our server are completely out of control.. seconds after restarting them (each consuming several hundred megs and maxing out CPU): 72854 nobody 58 0 102M 14264K RUN 0:34 41.17% 41.11% icecast 72889 nobody 58 0 13244K 4064K RUN 0:22 38.31% 37.65% icecast So I went to download latest CVS (brendan's
