FXS Caller ID revisted
Hi All, posted last week but didn't get any responses. I'm trying to figure out why some of our analog phones aren't showing CID when hooked up to asterisk. To recap, I have an Aastra Powertouch 350, which shows caller ID fine when connected to the PSTN, but when hooked up to asterisk, CID does not show. I've hooked up another phone to the same * port that the Aastra phone is on,

SPA-3000 caller ID and KPN
Hi list, Hopefully, some of our Dutch members can help with this one. I'm also based in the Netherlands and am using a Sipura (Linksys) SPA-3000 (firmware v3.1.10(GWd)) as a PSTN to VoIP gateway for my Asterisk test system. It works fine, except that the Called ID (CID) is not working. I'm aware that KPN (our local telco) requires a separate subscription to activate CID on POTS

Caller Id problem
Dear List, My problem is that the incoming Caller Id is not displayed on the local analog phones (connected to a TDM400 card). I receive the CID correctly from my telco, but when I place the call to the internal analog line, the CID is not propagated. An interesting point: when I try to place a new call to an already bridged line, I see the second call with the CID on the analog phone. The

DTMF Caller ID w/o polarity inversion
Hi Folks, I've been looking around and found some references of some Caller ID patches (Mantis bug#9) for X100P and TDM400 for Netherlands, Sweden and UK. It's been quite hard to understand what has finally been incorporated to the distribution (if anything) or which patches must be applied in witch snapshot of the repository. I've tried some different approaches but nothing worked

Brazillian Caller ID: almost there...
Hello, Talking with Soren Sratje about Caller ID in Brazil, we compare ours DTMF tones captured by ztmonitor. wcfxo correctly recognize the "DTMF CLIP" and asterisk shot the AST_STATE_PRERING correctly. But the DTMF tones are not reconized. In the chan_zap.c, the code: if (f->frametype == AST_FRAME_DTMF) { (...) Does not occurs because the frametype is always reconized as voice

Bell Canada Caller-ID
Has anyone gotten CID from Bell Canada to work properly with *? We have our * box down at our datacentre in St Louis, and whenever we call it from a Bell Canada Telephone line, all we see is '' for the CID. I did some digging on google and the mailing lists and couldn't find anything pertaining directly to Bell-Canada and * CID, but didn't find much. I did however find :

Different UK Caller ID question!
Here's a bit of a twist to the common UK Caller ID question... (Which I've got working nicely thanks to some slight changes in Jonathan McHarg's scripts off the asterisk-dev mailing list, and a Pace modem from ebay!) Can a standard BT phone that supports CID (Such as a BT Decor 310) pick up the CID information that asterisk passes out to analog lines or would I have to get an

OT: Question on Caller ID (Spoofing calls with Asterisk)
I got a call from an overseas call center telling me about the problems with the Windows machine I was using. They wanted to remote in and fix things for me ... (Ignore the fact I use a MacBook Pro or an ASUS laptop with Debian). What I found curious was the caller's name was Asterisk, and the caller's number was Asterisk at 10 or or Astrk at 10 similar. (I don't recall the exact

Patching UK Caller ID
I'd be grateful for some help on this. I've been following the various e-mails on the UK CID issue, particularly the last posting in bug fix 9. It seems that all I need now is to apply ast-UK-and-DTMF-pol-CID.diff. I apologise in advance for what is probably a very simple question, but how do I apply this patch. I've copied the file in to the directory containing the source files

DISA and AGI: authenticate by caller ID?
I'm having trouble getting an AGI exec command to spawn app_disa. The script executes properly, but does not spawn DISA. The CLI gives no helpful clues. Am I doing the exec incorrectly? I want to have a way to authenticate callers to the extension by Caller ID... if their caller ID is in my database and set to active, they can call out. [like a calling card but auth'd by CID instead

second connected PBX not showing Caller ID
Hello, We have two asterisk PBXs connected. PBX 1 has SIP trunks connected to our provider. PBX 2 is a remote PBX and SIP Trunk connected to PBX 1. We are able to dial extensions either way and PBX 2 is able to dial out using PBX 1 SIP trunks connected to our provider. We would like to use a separated Caller-ID for PBX 2 and cannot figure out how to do this. Any suggestions

Caller ID spoofing
Hello everybody! I am having the following problem and since I am a beginner in playing with asterisk, i can't solve it: I am trying to integrate my existing H.323 network in real world telephony by ISDN cards. The problem is that i DON'T want to change all e164 numbers in my h.323 network and my ISDN provider doesn't accept those identities (CIDs). So, i have to spoof the outgoing

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia,
You require no changes to detect caller id with a x100p card in Au, however most carriers only provide cid as an extra cost option. Your most likely problem is CID is not being sent to you. If you believe you have the caller id being sent to you, Find a caller id box/phone and confirm it is there. In 99% of cases where I have seen people in Au complaining of no caller id, it was because they

TDM20B and UK caller ID signalling
I have a TDM400 with 2 FXS cards, and a Samsung 6100 DECT base station connected to one of the ports. The base station appears to only support UK (BT) style CLIP Caller ID signalling. Does anyone know if it is possible to configure the ZAP channel to send in this format, or alternatively can you recommend a GAP compatible base station which will handle both BT and Bellcore signalling? Google Voice outbound Caller ID broken
Anybody else noticed that caller id for outbound calls via Google Voice seems to be broken? It seems to be a Google Voice problem though, not an asterisk issue. -- Chris -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Call forwarding and Caller ID
Hi All, * is working very well for us now. But I have an issue that I cannot find the answer to - enter guru's!! When our receptionist does a blind call forward I receive the Caller ID, however I do not know if the call is fresh (i.e. ringing in) or forwarded. What I would like to do is to have * prefix the CID External (so that I can tell that it is a fresh call) or Internal (to tell me
