Problem with "merge" command duplicating values
Hello, I am attempting to merge 8 different data sets into a "grand merge" data set; all their variable names are common except for the the gas measured. However, when I did a quick stat summary comparison of merged data with unmerged data, it turned out that R mysteriously duplicated thousands of values in the merged set and I have no idea why. I've not had this problem with merge

lattice: showing panels for factor levels with no values
How to show panels for factor levels of conditioning variables which do have no values? E.g. there are panels for "Grand Rapids" when they have values: data( barley ) with( barley, dotplot(variety ~ yield | year * site, layout=c(6,2) ) ) There are no panels for "Grand Rapids" when there are no values for "Grand Rapids": my.barley <- subset( barley, ! Re: Links 2003 & Grand Prix 4
Update: Grand Prix 4 plays almost flawlessly with Catalyst 10.6 and WINE 1.2rc3.. HOWEVER, over the past few releases of WINE (audio work), I've noticed that partly through the playback of Grand Prix 4, the audio suddenly stops. Prior to 1.2rc3, Grand Prix 4 used to crash shortly thereafter. However, since WINE 1.2rc3, after the audio stops, Grand Prix 4 continues without crashing ... just

How would you calculate this type of p-value using R?
Let's say you want to compare "one observation" with a sample, how would you use R to get a p-value for that single observation itself? To clarify what I'm asking: We know you use a one-sample t test to compare an actual sample to a hypothetical value, and a Wilcoxon test if it's not normally distributed, in R either "t.test( )" or "wilcox.test( )".

Grandstream GSX-2000 - dead :-(
I have a Grandstream GSX-2000 with .. Software Version: Program-- 1.0.0.3 Bootloader-- 1.0.0.3 I tried to do an HTTP update from the Grand Stream web site... After half an hour, I recycled power and now its dead... LED's come on and stay on, screen and buttons are dead. Connectivity to Grandstream.com was always good - whenever I checked (I downloaded the "User Manual" in a

Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP?
Dear Richard Grainger, I am grateful for your reply and guidance. After reading the following article at nginx.com, I realize that I should use a reverse proxy instead of a load balancer. Article: WHAT IS A REVERSE PROXY VS. LOAD BALANCER? Link: https://www.nginx.com/resources/glossary/reverse-proxy-vs-load-balancer/ Presently, I am using pfSense community edition firewall. Off topic: SS formulae for 3-way repeated measure anova (for when aov() fails)
Pursuant to a prior "on topic" thread (http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e4/help/08/07/17192.html ) where I found I could not use AOV to perform an anova on my large data set, I'm now trying to code the analysis "by hand" so to speak. However, as demonstrated below, when comparing my attempt to aov() using a smaller data set, I seem to betray some sort of

group means of multi-way table?
hello, can someone tell me how to generate the means for a data frame that looks like this? My data frame has many more variables, but I won't bother you with those; these are the one's that I'm interested in. Needless to say, z is the variable in which I'm interested. I'd like to find out the mean score of z for NDP managers, Conservative managers and Liberal managers

Which is better? Microsoft Exchange 2016 or Linux-based SMTP Servers?
Dear Promise Kumalo, Thank you for the recommendations. So for Exchange equivalents in the Linux world, it is Zimbra and Kolab. ________________________________ From: CentOS <centos-bounces at centos.org> on behalf of Promise Kumalo <promise.kumalo at outlook.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2018 11:38 PM To: centos at centos.org Subject: Re: [CentOS] Which is better? Parameter estimates from an ANCOVA
Hi all, This is probably going to come off as unnecessary (and show my ignorance) but I am trying to understand the parameter estimates I am getting from R when doing an ANCOVA. Basically, I am accustomed to the estimate for the categorical variable being equivalent to the respective cell means minus the grand mean. I know is the case in JMP - all other estimates from these data match the

translate grouped data to their centroid
Given a data set with a group factor, I want to translate the numeric variables to their centroid, by subtracting out the group means (adding back the grand means). The following gives what I want, but there must be an easier way using sweep or apply or some such. iris2 <- iris[,c(1,2,5)] means <- colMeans(iris2[,1:2]) pooled <- lm(cbind(Sepal.Length, Sepal.Width) ~ Species,

1.8.0 schedule
For the benefit of package maintainers (and others) we thought it would be a good idea to publish the release schedule well ahead this time. The plan follows below. Not everyone in R-core has had a chance to complain, but I'm off to the ISI tomorrow, so I thought it had better be done now. Platform testing has been a major problem with the previous releases. For some reason, people with

Arithmetic Error while compiling R with the Intel compilers
Hi Team, I downloaded the R 3.0.2 and, built and installed it using Intel compilers (icc and ifort) from Intel parallel studio 2013, sp1. After performing make tried to check it using 'make check'. Most of the tests passed successfully but while checking a 'stats' package I saw many lines were printed which did not match the desired output. e.g. There
