Will there be any support for iLBC in IAXClients soon?
Hello Folks, I noticed that all of the IaxClient based softphones with exception of Firefly only seem to have support for GSM but what about iLBC? The quality is excellent with iLBC even on a dialup connection! Meanwhile while the audio on GSM often sounds scratchy. Is anyone looking to implement iLBC in an IaxClient based softphone soon? iaxclients missing calls
Hello All When I open up iaxcomm, it registers fine with the asterisk server. If I call into it, iaxcomm will ring; however if I leave iaxcomm sitting idle for awhile (I haven't figured out exactly how long) it seems to miss calls. I can see the calls coming in on the asterisk server but they never ring through on iaxcomm. If I close it and reopen it, it takes calls again fine. I thought I

IAXClient news
About 2 weeks ago, I made the first announcement to the list about the first IAXCLIENT cross-platform builds. What we had then, was a command-line application which could make a single outgoing call. We've since done quite a bit of work on the clients, and the client now has: 1) A working cross-platform GUI 2) Volume level controls, and re-tuned audio processing 3) Multiple call apparances

With an IAXclient softphone (like diax/iaxcomm/etc) Dialing to the PSTN (zap) or a SIP device has no problems .. but when I make calls between 2 softphones I have weird problems.... in about 4 out of 10 IAX-2-IAX softphone calls I get a big delay .. in the beginning of the call it's all okay... Iax Client Library Issues? (DIAX, iaxComm, etc.)
Hi, I seem to be having problems with IAX clients based on the iaxClient library. I have been working on my own client (an augmentation to the Call Manager I released last week) and it seems to regularly miss incoming calls entirely. It also occasionally misses the drop signal when the remote end drops a call. Has anybody else seen this kind of behavior? I have tested with my client, with

Announcing IAXCLIENT v0.02 A cross-platform IAX client.
Asterisk-people, Some of you may have heard that we were working on a simple, cross-platform IAX client library called "iaxclient". We've pretty much been "on vacation" with the project for a while, but recently have made some progress, and now have the library working across platforms, and a simple test client called "testcall", up and running on 3

Looking for a commercial version of an IAX2 Softphone
Hello All, I have been looking for a commercial version of an IAX2 Softphone for Windows but the ones I have came across (i.e. Iaxcomm, Iaxphone, Diax) do not seem to have an updated version since April 2004 in some cases. We looked at Firefly but we sent emails to Virbiage/Freshtel with questions and could never get a response from them. Has anyone got any recommendations for commercial
