centosplus + priority plugin
I have a Centos 4 box that has been updated all the way to 4.6 without
using the centosplus repository.
Now I want to use the centosplus repository for Centos 4 to get the
latest LAMP, mod_perl, perl and other perl modules so that I can install
rt 3.6.6 and its necessary modules.
However, for some reason, the latest perl package in the centosplus
repository does not appear on the radar when

Can't get XFS enabled on Centos 5.0
I anm trying to enable XFS with no success.
I followed the instructions provided in
http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories/CentOSPlus
I installed the new kernel.
Example: 2.6.18-8.1.14.el5.centos.plus
I also installed these packages as described in a post I found
yum install --enablerepo=centosplus xfsprogs xfsprogs-devel
lsmod shows nothing about XFS
I would image there are others out there

Yum updates packages for other arch too
Hi,
I have the x86_64 arch on my server so therfore i expect that yum
updates only x86_64 packages.
With the last *yum update* i?ve noticed a strange behaviour while
retrieving the needed packeges. As you you see, yum wants install
packages for different architectures:
glibc x86_64 2.3.4-2.25 base 4.9 M
glibc i686 2.3.4-2.25 base 5.1 M

CentOS 5 - base kernel vs. centosplus for XFS
I notice that the same versions of kmod-xfs and xfsprogs etc. are in
both the extras and centosplus repositories for centos5.
Is there any particular reason to use the centosplus kernel if what
I'm primarily interested in is XFS filesystem support?
I presume that if I am using the plus kernel, then I must use the plus
versions of kmod-xfs etc., but I'm wondering whether I need the plus

installer with centosplus kernel?
Hi all,
Is there any way to get a CentOS 7 ISO with the centosplus kernel? I
have some very old hardware I'd like to keep going if easy, but it has
old NVidia network cards that need the forcedeth driver. Apparently
this driver is now in the centosplus kernel, but if I use the default
ISO I won't be able to get on the network to get the centosplus kernel.
(Of course I can get the kernel

Small correction in CentOSPlus (AdditionalResources/Repositories/CentOSPlus)
Hi,
Small correction there.
Example 4 of section 2 (how to use XFS with CentOSPlus kernel) says
you should use this configuration line in [centosplus] section of yum:
includepkgs=kernel* xfs* dmapi*
However, the XFS module's package name is kmod-xfs*, so I believe it
should actually be:
includepkgs=kernel* kmod-xfs* xfs* dmapi*
I did this on a system of mine, and in the first case it did

centosplus kernel
Just for the record, we are currently working with someone from SGI to
get a much better implementation of XFS working with the centosplus
kernel.
I want to wait to push the centosplus unsupported kernel (2.6.9-22)
until we have this new and much more stable version of XFS code
implemented.

One of my servers is complaining with this error now that I have updated
to CentOS 4.4.
I am now running postfix-2.2.10-1.RHEL4.2.mysql_pgsql.c4 from the
centosplus repository.
I had been running postfix-2.1.5-4.2.RHEL4.mysql.centos4 from the

I also have the following MySQL related packages installed:

How do I revert back to a non-CentOSPlus install?
I installed PHP 5.0.4 from the CentOSPlus repo a week ago, but now the yum cronjob seems to have upgraded to a new kernel, a new MySQL and god knows what else. Big mistake.
How do I (safely) revert back to the stock CentOS 4.3 rpms? I want to keep PHP 5.0.4, but that's it.
Is there a cleaner way than uninstalling the rpms, editing the repo file and the (re)installing from base?
I just

Re: [CSL #329283] centosplus XFS bug?
We're running a mix of ext3 and xfs file systems on CentOS 4
workstations at our site. We have benefitted greatly from the increased
performance and fast (crash recovery) reboot times that we get from
xfs. We're currently running CentOS kernel 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL and xfs
version 0.2-1.
We have one host where we've got issues. It's a (very) busy imap server
with external scsi hardware

Hello List,
I have a regular install of centos 4.4 i386 (lately updated to 4.5), a
new application needs mysql > 5.0.x
The natural way to do this was:
yum --enablerepo=centosplus update mysql
However, after all the dependency / transaction checks.. i get this..
