Contribution to 3.8.1pl1
Hello,
I added the support for netgroups to be used in the
AllowUsers and DenyUsers parameters. This has some
advantages:
* hostnames or ip addresses need not to be written or
maintained in the sshd_config file, but can be kept
abstract names what also simplifies a bit largescale
  openssh installations
* sshd_config needs not change and sshd be restarted

7960 straight through?
if i go off hook and dial 666 from an internal sipura spa-x000
(at extn 141), it rings straight through to extn 666.
using the same dialplan, from a cisco 7960 with 7.1 sip code
(at extn 142), i have to
   go off hook
   hit NewCall
punch 142 (or any valid extn in the dialplan)
   hit Dial
   then dial 666
wtf?

load balancing CIFS/Samba
Hi Folks,
I'm trying out some ideas for loadbalancing Samba servers with some
replication underneath. Right now, we're trying to use DNS round robin,
just to see if it works, but it isn't.
Our basic config is that we have the same share and NMB server name on
every node. Each node has a different IP hostname, which are all
round-robin'ed to a single hostname. When we try to

Single bandwidth pipe
Hi all,
Can someone help me in creating a single bandwidth
pipe out of two or more bandwidth providers.
Say, I have 2 internet connections
1) 128 K
2) 128 K
I want to use both of them on a single linux box.
Is there any way to do so.
Of course loadbalancing can be done, but I don''t want
loadbalancing. I want to have a single pipe of 256 K.
Some time back I was suggested to use squid on

Concurrent scanning of same disk
Greetings,
I am suffering of several weird errors which show randomly and make me
suspect some concurrency issue.
Libguestfs version is 1.28.1, linux kernel 3.16, libvirt 1.2.9 and qemu 2.1.
What I'm trying to do is comparing the disk state at two different point of
a guest execution.
Disk snapshots are taken through libvirt in different moments (I am aware
of caching issue), from such

Switchtower for production?
Hello,
The company that I work for will be developing a large webbased survey
(for a government institution) somewhere in Q1/Q2 of 2006. I''m
investigating the technological possibilities and Rails is certainly a
candidate. The survey application will have to perform under very high
peak load, and the exact specifications of the hardware are not known
at this point. I''m assuming

final tests fail with samba...can anyone help?
Hello,
I just took an old PC and installed SuSE 7.0 on it. The machine has 32Mb of RAM, so I needed a slim installation and kernel, and this was the only package I could get to install without immense effort (I tried 5 other versions of small linux distros from linuxiso.org before this one).
The version of Samba I installed on this Suse box is 2.0.7. From what I have read, this version SHOULD

Recommend verification
I recommend someone verify that tar.gz and tar.xz files ( at
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/ ) unpack without
errors.
(I assume use of compression is in hope of saving download bandwidth)

suspicious memory usages
Following is the output of top command at my server and i find the high
usage very much alarming.
We are basically a team of three developers working on same
machine(remotely), so we run mongrel_rails servers from out ~/public/app
directories.
We also run a cluster of mongrel servers using apache2.2.
Is this much memory use normal?

Hi!
I got some strange problem with routing loadbalancing.
I cannot get the full speed from my ISPs until I get some big files from

subset
Hello everyone,
I have a large dataset (x) with some rows that have duplicate variables
that I would like to remove. I find which rows are the duplicates with
X1<-which(duplicated(x)). That gives me the rows with duplicated
variables. Now, how can I remove just those rose from the original data
frame. I think I can create a new data frame without the duplicates
using subset.  I have tried:
