Clamav
Folks, I just yum'd clamav last night for my mailserver. There do not
appear to be any man pages for this package. Is there just web
documents on what to do to create the configuration file, or is that
already done, and I haven't found it yet?
Thanks..

Odd Question... MAX Ram Disk Size
Greetings,
Before I get slammed, I've looked all over the internet for the answer
to this (googled and more) and haven't been able to find what I'm
looking for. Here's what I need. I have a server that I use to hold
workstation images. I use a Linux boot CD combined with some scripts I
wrote and some disk imaging software to allow me to image windows
workstations. Anyway, when

Sendmail: timeout waiting for input from local during Draining Input
Hi folks,
I've recently replaced a RedHat EL 3.x system with a CentOS 5 system
(fully yum'd as of Tuesday). This was a full-pave install, although
we did copy the sendmail.mc from the original system.
Now I get a lot of this in my logs:
Dec 7 11:47:38 mail sendmail[20117]: lB7Gl6w0020116: timeout waiting for input from local during Draining Input

2 TB limit on USB drive
Hallo
I submitted this as a bug several weeks ago, but I wanted to ask around
& see if anyone else has come across this....
I have a USB Buffalo Drivestation Quattro, with 4 1TB disks
configured in raid5 as one 2.8TB (or so) disk, attached to a Cent 5.4 64
bit server (completely yum'd up to date)
The disk is labeled as GPT, and formatted as a 2.8 TB ext3 partition

#!/usr/bin/perl
print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
print "Hello!";
When I attempt to access the file via a web browers, I get this:

Stupid Question I know...
I'm wanting my Centos 4.0 box to boot up into TEXT mode, like all of my
other Linux servers do. Unfortunately, it only boots into graphics
mode and there's some issue with the keyboard (it controls the mouse,
very poorly). I can SSH into the box so I can re-config it.. But just
don't know where to look in this new version. I tried GRUB.CONF and
even the SYSTEM_CONFIG programs.. No

Message Board Recommendations...
I've been trying several message board software (PHPBB, etc) and haven't
found one that's as feature rich as I'd like. I used to run Ikonboard
but have had some issues with that. Does anyone have a great
recommendation for an awesome message board with loads of features and
is open-source (free)?
Thanks

change color scheme in mvpart
Hello everyone, I am currently using the mvpart package and would like to change the color scheme it uses, and was hoping someone could help me out. All of the papers I have found have used a grayscale but I can't seem to figure out how they did that! Currently, mvpart plots barplots in a repeating sequence of 3 shades of blue. So if you have 6 response variables the same shade of blue is used

backup to disk
Hi,
I'm looking for common practices for backing up user data to disk. My
user data is all in /home. I'm also interested in what folks are doing
for things backing up os and configs.
Any pointers on setting up rsync, cpio, etc would be appreciated.
Pointers to good how-to's especially welcome.
Currently we're using Arkeia Network Backup (commercial product with

Hi guys,
I'm having some problems installing Microsoft Office 2007 in my Fedora 15 (x64) with wine version 1.3.21.

Does anaconda serve any purpose after installation?
Is there any reason or need to keep anaconda around after a system is up and running, or would "yum remove anaconda" be a good idea?

Sso the Linux way?
So I was googling around about this over the last week and here is what I
found:
nis/yp is for some reason bad.
Kerbos is holy, but no how-to's that don't involve windows and active
directory.
What is the recommended sso approach for centos? Where are there examples /
docs to follow?

Centos 5.2, Xen and "/lib[64]/tls"
Hi,
I'm setting up a few machines for virtualization using Xen on Centos 5.2
x86_64. A lot of how-to's out there tell me to do something like "mv
/lib/tls /lib/tls.disabled" or similar actions or else Xen might not work
correctly. Is this something that is still relevant or does it only apply
to older versions of Xen/Centos? If this is still necessary what is the
best way

SuSE7.0 with Nvidia-GLX does not run together with MESA?
I saw on a "easy" Howto (there are about 10 different how-to's), that the
MESA-package from SuSE ist conflicting with the GL-Drivers from Nvidia
(which you need to run Nvidia-Cards 3D-accelerated). Is it true, that I
have to uninstall MESA?

sernet samba4 on Ubuntu
I am attempting to install EnterpriseSamba (Sernet) on a Ubuntu
14.04.1LTS server.
I finding it a challenge to determine the proper installation and
configuration procedures with sernet-samba. There are no (at least I
cannot find them) how-to's or instructions or readme on the sernet
download website.
Any ideas where to find such or guidance?
