Disable IAX1 Registrations
I was just noticing that my asterisk box is trying to register with my providers on both IAX1 and IAX2. They do register on IAX2, but it seems like it keeps trying to register with IAX1 also. Is there a way to disable this behavior, or am I just misunderstanding it. I just want to make sure I'm not wasting processor time and bandwidth trying to register IAX1 when it is already

Fwd: Re: Disable IAX1 Registrations
Just in case anyone else is looking for this information, I'm posting the answer here. I do need to double check if this works with asterisk >= 0.9.0. I've heard rumors that IAX1 support has been removed in newer versions. ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Disable IAX1 Registrations Date: Thursday 17 June 2004 04:43 pm From: "Chris A.

Turning off Bridging?

It all works fine, then dials the destination number they requested. My setup is as follows [ENDPOINT] <IAX1> [MYASTERISKBOX] < IAX1 > [TELCOBOX]<>(PSTN) If i dial

Suggestions for debugging an IAX1 one way audio problem
Hi, I occasionally experience a one way audio problem when using the IAX1 protocol with a service provider. If I call a DID number in by group provided by the supplier which is redirected to my box, I only get the audio path back from my box to the phone I used to dial the DID number. If I use IAX debug, or tcpdump I only see packets going from my box to the provider when the one way audio

IAX2 calls through IAXTEL.com
I created an account at IAXTEL.com to route 1-700-XXX-XXXX calls through. IAXTEL.com gave me a number (example) of 700-555-6226. I have made the following changes to my: /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf: [iaxtel700] exten => _81700XXXXXXX,1,Dial(IAX2/myusername:mypassword@iaxtel.com/${EXTEN:1}) exten => _81800NXXXXXX,1,Dial(IAX2/myusername:mypassword@iaxtel.com/${EXTEN:1})

* as conference server for shoutcast.
i.e. iax1-------+ iax2-------| iax3-------|-- * -- MeetMe -- shoutcast radio ....-------| iaxn-------+ would be a great way for corporation to broadcast meetings. board meetings live management meetings live sales demonstrations and all interactive. you get the picture. right now i'm thinking of just patching a cable from the * operator console to a shoutcast server.

How to change login for iaxtel.com IAX?
Hi, I created an iaxtel account, and was given a password containing an "@" character. The directory pages imply that they change the web login password only. How do I reset my IAX password so that it is usable in the iax.conf file? Thanks, Steve

What's up with IAXTEL?
I finally got around to signing up with Iaxtel and Free World Dialup... the price was right, as far as that goes! I've gotten and placed calls via FWD just fine. But I can't seem to get registered, or stay registered, with Iaxtel. My logs show the story; at startup I see: Jan 20 07:14:44 VERBOSE[14121]: -- Registered to '65.39.205.121', who sees us as ... yada yada... As

Last Friday evening I upgraded from 3.0.11 to 3.0.13 and some of the users I have some ACL's set up for promptly found Monday that they couldn't save new Excel files, they'd be
