Does anybody have a how-to, a roadmap or a modem.conf and

2) Is there any docs that gives the pig picture of the source code? (A
sort of who does what)
Thanks!

Samba 3 and LDAP - Error loading profiles
Hi,
I'm setting up Samba with ldap backend and everythin appears to be working
correctly except for profiles.
Using:

smbldap-tools-0.8.4
When a user 'testa' tries to logon from a Win2K system that has joined the

help with functions
Hi all,
I have got 2 function (see bellow) which are simplifications of what I need
to do. These functions are precisely the same, except for the last line.
My question is, why doesn't function testA work in the same way as function
testB.
Both functions produce two objects, "a" and "b" that must merged with rbind.
The difference is that in testA, I specify the name

Problem with plotting size/location on variation of star/segment plot
Dear R gurus,
I'm running into a problem with some modified segment plots I've coded
using stars(). What I am trying to do is superimpose two series of data
along with radial axes markers in a 2x2 graphics frame. This is working
fine now, except for the hitch: my plots overfill the frame and are not
centered within it (on my runs they always end up looking like they've
been budged

Little graph questions!
I'm working up a set of small working examples in R to show what various
distributions are and the beauty of the central limit theorem. Those
example programs are in this directory:
http://lark.cc.ukans.edu/~pauljohn/R/ExampleCode/
You can feel free to use those if you want, or you can send me other
small working example code for R. The key here is small, self contained

X100P problem with PSTN from BOLIVIA
Hi
Please help!
I have one X101P and TDM400P in my asterisk Box
When i make a call from * to PSTN, everything goes Ok,
When the PSTN hangups or * hangups, the busy tone is detected and *
disconnects the channel without problems.
The problem occurs when the call comes from PSTN. When * hangups, the
other end (at pstn) does not hangup, it only presents silence.
Please tell me how to solve this

mode & mask
dear all
trivial kind of question for which I do apologize, but it's
sort of puzzling
in a share when a windows client creates something samba
sets it as 755, yet another user can still delete, in this
case a folder
which part of configuration fixes it so it would behave as
expected?
what I have by default is:
acl check permissions = Yes
acl group control = No

To surf to URL mydomain.com instead of mydomain.com:3000?
My production server is using mongrel_rails on Ubuntu linux.
With Firefox I can reach my production server with the URL:
www.mydomain.com:3000/
but I can''t reach my production server with the URL
www.mydomain.com/
Is there a way to configure mongrel so that I can reach my
production server with the URL www.mydomain.com?

Samba4 segfault
Hi,
during my tests to use Samba4 as a kdc for kerberized NFS,
I found a bug in the KDC code, when generating a principal
without pac (e.g. with msktutil and option --no-pac), that
causes Samba4 to crash:
Running the following command on one of the client machines
msktutil -c --upn nfs/testa.linex.org -h testa.linex.org
--computer-name testa-service-nfs --server s4-dc1.linex.org --no-pac

CISA et al: "Exploring Memory Safety in Critical Open Source Projects"
Has anyone done any initial research into how much effort it would take
to port OpenSSH to Rust? If not, I might find that interesting to
start. (Mind you, this would be just to get a handle on the project,
not do the full porting work--unless it somehow turns out to be very
easy.)

two server and dbox
Dear users,
I have a question about the storage dbox. Is it possible to deliver e-mails
from two different lda?
I would have two independent servers working at the same time on nfs.
Is it possible since the e-mails name will be the same?
Thanks in advance

What I like about it is that it offers ~224 bit security level, whereas
X25519 offers ~128 bits (according to RFC7748). Hence, pairing X448
with AES256 would provide a full chain of security in the ~224 bit

DH Group Exchange Fallback
Hi,
I'm interested in requiring a minimum of 3072-bit DH moduli when
using the "diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256" kex, so I edited my
/etc/ssh/moduli file such that only 3071+ moduli are left. However,
when clients ask for a max of 2048-bit moduli, they actually get one
(!). I poked around and found that a fallback mechanism exists
(dh.c:185), which returns back the

Fatal: sigaction(SIGRTMIN) failed: Invalid argument
Hello all,
I`ve tried to run dovecot many times in my system (Conectiva Linux
9) and was unable to do so. For some reason it gives this message and
quits - never runs.
My system:
Linux ba.gazetaweb.com 2.4.21-28872cl #1 Sex Mar 21 22:02:49 BRT
2003 i686 unknown
I`m migrating from UW-IMAPD to dovecot. I've compiled it from
sources, using default configurations.
Any help

I managed to do some limited testing with a local VM, and the results
are... interesting.
I installed openssh-SNAP-20240626.tar.gz on a fresh and fully-updated
Ubuntu Linux 24.04 LTS VM with 1 vCPU.
