Is there a method from the dialplan that I can turn on a voicemail indicator on a polycom phone. Like a blinking light or something. Then I would also need to turn it off. Is there a way to do that? Jerry

zfs destroy <snapshot> takes hours
Hello, I am having a problem destroying zfs snapshots. The machine is almost not responding for more than 4 hours, after I started the command and I can''t run anything else during that time - I get (bash): fork: Resource temporarily unavailable - errors. The machine is still responding somewhat, but very, very slow. It is: P4, 2.4 GHz with 512 MB RAM, 8 x 750 GB disks as raidZ,

Problem with stripplot
I have had a problem with stripplot. Documentation does say that method ="stack" is only appropriate for granular data, but I don't think that means it should fall over. > difference [1] 2.0 1.3 2.8 -2.6 -0.4 -0.4 -1.2 -1.4 -1.0 1.2 -2.6 -1.9 > stripplot(difference) > stripplot(difference,method="jitter") > stripplot(difference,method="stack")

Getting R graphics into MS Word
I am just downloaded R, and am using it on Windows NT. I would like to use it to generate graphics, which will be included in Microsoft word or Powerpoint. The graphics window allows me to save an image as an enhanced metafile. However, if I then insert this image into a Word document, only part of it is visible. Has anyone on the list experience of trying to do this? Do I need to change the

substituting values into a function
Hi everybody, In Splus, the following works fine. foo1 <- function(x, const) x + const foo2 <- function(x, const) x * const const1 <- 1 const2 <- 2 foo <- substitute(function(x) { a <- foo1(x, const1) b <- foo2(a, const2) b }, list(const1=const1, const2=const2)) foo(1:3) In R, the code doesn't work, as foo is of mode "call", and

Can browse from windows, but cannot copy TO samba Seems others have been where I'm at now
I've had Samba running for months now and I believe it's working ok. Going throught the 13th hour documentation on troubleshooting goes smooth until I try to view shares on the server using NET VIEW \\homer. This has been an intermitent problem off and on over the last year. Occasionally it stops working then unexpectedly I'll be able to view files and print again. I'm trying to

Directories
I am using r0.63.2 for Windows. This seems like it should be a FAQ but I couldn't find it in the R FAQ. If I want to have different workspaces for different projects how do I arrange for R to restore a workspace from a directory other than the one where the executable is, automatically on startup? Is it possible, or do I have to save the workspace in the right directory then manually restore

Analog Phones with Status Light Indicators
I am currently a new asterisk user and new to telephony in general. I have been looking around to implement a solution with asterisk that has many of the nice features of a proprietary PBX for a small office. The features that I am looking for that I haven't been able to find any information on are: - status light indicators for which incoming line in ringing - status light indicators for

No sound on voicemail from analog line
Hello. I have a server installed with asterisk 1.6. I have a PSTN line that comes in to one of those clone cards. Everything seem to be working fine. The only problem I have is that I can't get voicemails coming from the PSTN line. All other: SIP, IAX work fine. I can hear those ok but, when it comes to a call that comes in from PSTN I get no sound. What can cause that problem? Thanks in

Files and Windows/NT
I am using rw0.63.2. I haven't upgraded because we use R for teaching. Students use R at home, and we don't want to change them over in midsemester. Also we have some additional functions we use, and we need to test them before we start to use a new version. Which brings me to my question. To help with testing we are preparing a test file which will run through all our examples. In the

MWI on Zap analog phone not lighting
We are using Bellsouth 8867 phones on our TDM400B FXS lines (asterisk-1.0.3). It has a "Voicemail" light, which appears to be MWI (according to the manual it works with voicemail from the telco that sends a FSK signal). The dialtone stutters when a line has voicemail, so I know that I have the mailbox setting right in zapata.conf, but the light doesn't go on. I am also getting

Snom 320 voicemail key & MWI
Dear List, I'm having a blinking MWI light on the snom 320 even when there's no message waiting in Asterisk. We've managed to make the voicemail button work using fromdomain=192.168.0.1 in sip.conf vmexten=2500 (our VoicemailMain application extension in extensions.conf). We also added notifymimetype=application/simple-message-summary also in sip.conf to allow SIP simple MWI

Voicemail notification
Besides email notification, is there another way to get asterisk notify the user that they have a message? Example: Some analog phones have a blinking light that lets the user know that they have a voicemail message. Is asterisk capable of doing this?
