Hi all, i have a problem with some cisco 7960. Yesterday i did a firmware-upgrade from 3.1 (1.2) with P0S30203.bin as described in the most documents. Now i get the message Phone unprovisioned and in TFTP-Log i find the following line: 07.03.2005 19:58 :Timeout error sending P0S3-07-3-00.bin to 192.168.0.83, 0 bytes So i think it now wants to load the file P0S3-07-3-00.bin. Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Cisco 7960 won't register
Hello all, I've got a Cisco 7960 running version 7.4 firmware (heard there were problems with 7.5) and I can't get it to register with Asterisk. I've stripped down my configs on the phone to a bare minimum, and posted them below. Basically, the Cisco phone sends absolutely no packets to the proxy when it gets booted. If I make an outgoing call I see traffic getting to Asterisk, but

7960 Cisco SIP Phone TFTP Files
Hi all (is a bit of a Cisco question, but perhaps it's already been asked here). I'm trying to setup a TFTP server for dynamic configuration of my 7960 Cisco phones. Cisco 7960 upgrades
Hi, I got a problem of having to upgrade 35 Cisco 7960 phones from default firmware of 3.1 to 7.5. The problem I get is that when trying to upgrade I see on the tftplog that it can't seem to find the file (8 character issue). So I renamed the files to suit what is supposed to be in them. I am trying incremental upgrades from 3.1 -> 5.3 -> 7.5, with no luck. It goes to

Re: Problem converting a Cisco 7960 to SIP
Hello all, I've got myself into a bizzare situation that I can't seem to get myself out of... Was wondering if anyone had some advice that might get me 'over the hill' on this... Some background: PBX consists of an Asterisk box (running TrixBox), 4 Cisco 7960's, 2 Polycom IP500's, and now an additional Cisco 7960. The phones are all on a separate LAN. There is

Cisco 7960 not always receiving incoming calls
I've searched around and found a few similar situations where the phone will call out when using a Asterisk server but not receive inbound calls. My issue is a little stranger. If I call out from the phone then the phone will receive the next inbound call. The phone will not receive another inbound call until a call out again from it first. Any ideas? I am using SIP and am using the latest

Cisco 7940 Configuration
Hello all, I recently purchased a Cisco 7940 IP phone to do some testing with (to validate a migration to asterisk for our internal PBX needs). I understand that I need to update the phone for it to support SIP, so I configured the phone with an IP address and pointed it at my tftp server. When I reboot the phone I am currently getting "TFTP File Not Found SEPDefault.cnf" in the

Cisco 7960 8.2 callerID lists proxy?
I'm using P0S3-08-2-00.. I noticed the callerID started showing up with the number, then @<proxy-addr>... So the callerID on the phone looks like: 2145551212@10.10.10.10 which of course is logged in the missed calls exactly like that, and completely foobars the dialing string if you try to dial a missed call by simply hitting the dial button. Can anyone else verify this problem? 7.5
