Chan_h323 docs
Jeremy,
In some posting in the mailing lists, you mentioned that docs for h323 had
been submitted but hadn't made it into distribution.
Could you post those docs in your download directory?
I'm trying to understand the nuances of your driver, gnugk, and extensions.

Problem when using asterisk + gnugk
Hi,
I'm using asterisk with chan_h323 together with gnugk.
chan_h323 and gnugk were recently compiled with pwlib-1.5.2
and openh323-1.12.2 as advised.
When connecting asterisk directly by ohphone
(without gatekeeper), everthing is fine.
When using gnugk for usage control in routed mode, I find
a funny situation in asterisk's H.323 debug:
== New H.323 Connection created.

ERROR[16384]: chan_h323.c:1987 load_module: Gatekeeper registration failed
I'm trying to configure Chan_H323 to register with GnuGK... without
success... i've failed finding sample configurations.
I'd greatly appreciate anyone who can provide sample config of H323.conf
and gnugk.ini
I am tyring to configure Asterisk as a neighbor in GnuGK.
I'm always getting this error on Asterisk.

ISDN Card Types for Europe
What types of ISDN BRI cards work well in Europe (Guadeloupe, Martinique and
France) ? For example: AVM C2 or AVM C4 or eicon Diva server 4 BRI? Any
others? Which driver is appropriate?

PolyCom IP3000, gnugk and * audio problems
Current setup:
Polycom IP3000 <-> gnugk <-> asterisk <-> Cisco 7940
Asterisk and gnugk are on 10.20.98.6
IP3000 is H.323, using G.711 (10.20.98.2)
7940 is SIP, using g711ulaw (10.20.98.3)
I've been asterisk for a while now, only using SIP devices. I'm happy
with that side of things, but I've not used H.323 before this week, in
trying to get the IP3000 to work.

chan_h323 doesn't pass audio before call is answered
Hi,
I have the following topology:
PSTN/H323 gateway->GNUGK->chan_h323/chan_sip->SIP EP
Mostly everything works fine except chan_h323 is not passing
audio from PSTN before the call is answered and as a result users
can't hear PSTN announcements (like "the number is not in service")
that's played on unanswered call. All they hear is just continuous
ringtone as though

Making a Skinny phone talk to Asterisk
I have a few 7960 Skinny phones. I've edited the skinny.conf file, but I'm
a little unsure as to how get the phone to figure out which ip address it
should register with when it boots.
How do I do that?
I already have a tftp server for my SIP based phones. Do I need a tftp
server for skinny configs at all? And if so, can it be the same tftp server
as the SIP ones use (I'm not sure

Re: Asterisk and gnugk (bam)
Hi,
I also had some problems using chan_oh323 together
with gnugk.

When I called the phone and hang up, befor the phone
was picked up, the h323-phone continued ringing.
The same, when the h323- and some sip-phones were
called, and the sip-phone picked up the call first.

GnuGK Nufone H323 -HEAD - Prefix issue
Greetings-
As most of you who monitor this list know, I've been messing about
with Asterisk -HEAD, Cisco Callmanager, and the nufone H323 channel
driver here for some time- with pretty decent success. I'm hoping to
cash in a chip here- I've run into something that is probably a very
simple answer, yet not found a decent reference to resolve it.

Problem with asterisk+gnugk
Hi!
I'm trying to build gnugk with asterisk. Asterisk is working well with chan_h323
built with needed PWlib v.1.5.2 and open H.323 v.1.12.2.
But gnugk' s installing instructions says that I need latest PWlib(1.17.1) and
openh323 to get gnugk work. Now, with installed pwlib and openh323 gnugk's
compiling fails and I get error 1.
Do you have any working solutions with asterisk and

What different between asterisk-oh323 andastersk's chan_h323 ?
I have one and only one reason to use OH323, and that is it
works with Cisco's CallManager. The standard H323 channel
has one-way audio issues when connected to CCM and fixing them
has been identified as a low priority/never going to happen
task.

NuFone Network H323 configuration?
I am using Nu Fone Network's h323 drivers.
I can place H323 calls using following in extensions.conf file,
exten => _1732.,1,Dial(H323/${EXTEN}@192.168.1.2)
If I need to use h323.conf to do the same I cannot configure h323 to do the
same. I get everyone is busy message and I do not see IP packets being
generated by * trying to communicate to 192.168.1.2. Can someone point out

What different between asterisk-oh323 and astersk's chan_h323 ?
Dear ALL:
I find that everybody discuss with asterisk-oh323 instead of chan_h323
of asterisk channels. Why do they choose asterisk-oh323 and not use
the build-in module (chan_h323)? What different between these two
componments?
In my guess, the build-in module should be easy to implement rather
than setup another application(asterisk-oh323) expect some bugs or
failed functions on chan_h323.

Roaming Users
I'm trying to come up with an elegant solution to handle roaming users in a
branch office scenario. I have a number of possible scenarios, none of
which seem to completely solve the problem. Perhaps someone with a better
feel of the interactions can help me out. Is the 'switch' statement useful
in some way? What are the ins and outs of the 'switch' statement? Come to

chan_h323 as a gatekeeper?
hi
IIRC, Jeremy once said that chan_h323 could be used as a gatekeeper but
perhaps lacking a few features as compared to gnugk. Is this possible? I
have some dlink DPH-100H phoes here for testing, but they require a
gatekeeper, and if I can do it, I'd love to keep gnugk out of this.
thanks

Java?
We needed the client browser to be open all the time for dynamic data to
load without the page refreshing. After looking at all of our options we
decided on programming it ourselves using flash rather than java.
We have a flash frontend thats tied to our backend mysql DB. We use it
for loading web site traffic data, email opens, click-throughs,
bouncebacks, stats, etc. It could also be used with
