Is there any way to mask or hide the INBOX label for Dovecot 1.2.x Shared Mailboxes?
Hello, I'm setting up a new Dovecot sever to replace an old Cyrus server, and need to keep things as consistent as possible. I have a couple local accounts, like junkmail and notjunkmail that users get shared access to, and can drop things in to train sa-update. However, when users share over junkmail's inbox, it's displayed in the hierarchy: ? Other Users ? junkmail ? INBOX

Problems with AGI scripts in Perl and Java
Hi what can be wrong with * that console does not show any stderr text printed from agi script? I am starting with asterisk -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrc VERBOSE command does show text on console but printing of STDERR does not I tried it from Perl and from Java and in both cases almost the same result, except in Java more things do not work. In Java for, for example, SAY DIGITS 123 78# would

AGI - Freakin Lost
Ok, I have spent that past 4 - 5hrs working (trying to) figure some AGI syntax out in perl. Maybe I'm Looney / slow or what I don't know, but I am lost. I need to figure out how to send STDIN into the script. I understand the concept of it, but lost when it comes down to it. No matter what I try with standard <stdin> The app completes on me before I can ever enter in keys. I

It'll be great if somebody can point me to technical materials or show electric scheme of such converter. I believe it should

Can I translate the userid to match the UW-POP3 server?
OK, I have been running the UW-POP3 server which currently translates all login ids as lowercase (i.e. Anthony becomes anthony). Now the Dovecot server is very flexible and currently I have not found how to translate the upper case characters to lowercase. What configuration setting will translate the userids to lowercase? -- Albert E. Whale, CHS CISA CISSP Sr. Security, Network, Risk

No Dialtone
So I have an X100P, and a TDM10B both working (at least I think they are). The drivers have been loaded and ztcfg -vv shows no errors in the configuration of two channels. When I run asterisk -vvvc and pick up my phone (plugged into TDM10B), I don't gear a dialtone. in phone.conf, I have [interfaces] mode=dialtone format=slinear ... Shouldn't that produce a dialtone when I pick up the

Authentication Error Message formats
I have been using UW's IMAP server and I am converting to Dovecot for Maildir support. When a user fails authentication, or a user does not exist, it appears that the same message is used for these events. Is there a way to indicate that the user does not exist (Invalid user), and authentication Failure (Failed Password)? Clearly these two failures indicate a different error in the system.

Parking & SIP Phones
Hello, I know not too long ago I saw /something/ _somewhere_ about an adjustment to call parking that allowed blind transfers from SIP phones to park a call and still be able to hear the parking lot stall number. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I saw that (google turned up little, couldn't find it on the list either). I'm using Sipura SPA-2000 adapters and it doesn't seem to

Multiple SIP phones ringing for same extension
Can someone confirm what I should expect the correct behaviour to be on incoming calls if I have multiple SIP phones configured for the same username? I'd expect all the phones registered under the username that that extension is associated with to ring, and the first one that answers gets it. What I get, is just the first phone that registered gets a ring. The second one doesn't ring at
