Softkeys wrong with chan_skinny
Hi,
as noone out there seems to be able to maintain chan_sccp, i'm trying to
switch to chan_skinny. With the newest 1.4 svn the Softkeys are mostly
wrong/non functional. I see

CFwdBu... GPickUp Confrn more
NewCall works, CFwdAll seems to toggle DnD, the rest of the buttons do

Any ideas how to fix this?

ls() with different defaults: Solution;
Dear useRs,
Some time ago I queried the list as to an efficient way of building a function which acts as ls() but with a different default for all.names:
http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e6/help/09/03/7588.html
I have struck upon a solution which so far has performed admirably. In particular, it uses ls() and not its explicit source code, so only has a dependency on its name and the name of

7960 straight through?
if i go off hook and dial 666 from an internal sipura spa-x000
(at extn 141), it rings straight through to extn 666.
using the same dialplan, from a cisco 7960 with 7.1 sip code
(at extn 142), i have to
go off hook
hit NewCall
punch 142 (or any valid extn in the dialplan)
hit Dial
then dial 666
wtf?

Cisco 7960 & v7.4
I have recently upgraded my firmware from v6.3 to v7.4. Now when the phone is booted or rebooted, the initial screen "Initializing Vlan" takes forever to initialize before it initializes IP. Any ideas/Thoughts? (Trying not to Revert back to v6.3).

Cisco 7960 bug in 6.1 evident in Asterisk
So, I've managed to consistently lock up my Cisco 7960 (SIP 6.1) to
the point where it needs to be unplugged, due to software errors.
This is a first.
My suspicions are that this bug in Asterisk is causing the lockups:
http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0000889
It seems unusual to me that a low volume of bogus SIP messages should
lock up the 7960, but that seems to be the

OT - Cisco IP Phone and PC in diferent VLANs (with 802.1x)
Hello to all
I would like to know If some of you have already configured an Cisco IP
Phone (7940 or 7960) to work in a different VLAN than the PC that is
connected through the phone switch?
I know that this can be done with the Skinny firmware, but I dont if it
works with the SIP firmware.
The Cisco technical staff told me that these phones dont support 802.1x
but can work as pass-through.

Cisco 7960 quick dial
Is there a way to make the Cisco 7960 SIP phone dial out automatically
without having to press the dial button, once the numbers that you have
entered match a specific pattern? This feature is present when the phone
is working with a Cisco CallManager. For example, if all of my internal
extensions begin with a '5' and are four digits long, if I dialed '5123' on
the phone, the

[LLVMdev] How to const char* Value for function argument
Hi,
I'm trying to replace function call with call to
wrapper(function_name, num_args, ...), where varargs hold args of
original call.
Function* launch = Function::Create(
TypeBuilder<int(const char*, int, ...), false>::get(context),
GlobalValue::ExternalLinkage, "kernelgen_launch_", m2);
{
CallInst* call = dyn_cast<CallInst>(cast<Value>(I));

[LLVMdev] How to const char* Value for function argument
Hi Dimitry,
This makes sense if you think about it from the perspective that the string you want passing must be passed at runtime, and so can't use a const char * from compile time.
You need to make the string visible in the compiled image, and use that as the argument. A string is an array of 8-bit integers, so you need to create a ConstantArray.
Value *v = ConstantArray::get(Context,

vlans+bonding+bridging
hi,
I have to configure Xen server and DomU''s which should be able
to talk to different vlans - depending on services put on DomU''s.
I would like to enslave 2 NICs via bond interface.
Both NICs are on trunk ports which are configured in the same way, the
same native vlan.
I don''t know, if I have to add vlans tagging to eth* interfaces then
enslave tagged eth*

etherchannel/port group/bonding plus vlan works well
I figured I should post this because before I went to do it I searched
the web for caveats etc and didn''t really find much. So anyway, I set
up bonding + vlan for a project. Computer is dell powerdge 350 with 2
intel 82559 10/100 nic running stock 2.4.20. I tried both the eepro100
and the e100 drivers for the nics, both work 802.1q and bonding are modules.
Switch is cisco 2924xl-en

Trouble registering Cisco 7942
I'm trying to connect a Cisco 7942 to my Asterisk box. I have a 7960
and 7912 currently connected and functioning. I'm trying to use the
recommendations from here:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+phone+cisco+79x1+xml+configuration+files+for+SIP
I have created a "XMLDefault.cnf.xml" and it took the latest image but
the phone states it's unprovisioned? Any

Experiences with Zultys 4x4 SIP phone?
Anyone had experience with this phone? The interesting features that
caught my eye were the RTP encryption, speaker "pager", and built in
4-port ethernet switch. Of course, RTP encryption doesn't exist in *
yet, but it might be interesting (I've had people ask about it, but I
don't know how serious they are about needing it.)

R-beta: NextMethod(.Generic) bug
I'm a day-old R newbie (but a war-weary S veteran), with couple of
first-day questions:
In R 0.61, this code fails.
Ops.test <- function(e1,e2)
{
e1 <- NextMethod(.Generic)
e1
}
x <- 4
class(x) <- "test"
y <- x < 3
The error message is "Error in NextMethod(.Generic) : negative length vectors
are not allowed.".
I assume it is a bug.

How do you turn on the 7960 msg waiting light?
Does anyone in Asterisk land know how to turn on the message light on the
back of the earpiece of a cisco 7960 when a message is waiting?
Thanks!

Found: inexpensive ADSI phone
I know I heard people looking for inexpensive ADSI phones a while
back. Can't vouch for these guys, but this looks like a reasonable
deal for what perhaps are new phones. No experience with ADSI,
myself, but thought I'd pass it along. These folks also carry the
Nortel analog units that do intercom and 2-line, as has been
discussed in prior threads.

Setting a "Forward" to an external number on your phone
Hi!
Maybe I have just been looking on the wrong pages but there is a
question that is very important for me. I already studied some
Demo-Dialplans and made some basic experiences with Asterisk. But what I
need to find out is how I can handle this.
I am leaving my office and I want to tell asterisk to forward calls now
to my mobile phone by just hitting a key (on my IP-Phone) or by using a

Broadcom NIC Binding under Centos 4.2
Hello all,
I'm having unusual difficulty configuring teaming with Centos 4.2.
The 2 NIC's are Broadcom. The HW is HP DL360 and there is no teaming
driver for RHEL4 since it comes with package (says HP).
Since there is no teaming driver from centos (as far as I know), I tried
the Broadcom Driver, configured the team file, but the team just wont
come up. A Virtual Interface should be up
