how do I find out which nameserver returns a DNS query?
Hi all If I do a "dig mydomain.co.za" from a Linux server, how do I know which DNS nameserver returns the queries? I seem to have a faulty DNS server, but can't see which one, so I want to find out which nameserver (if there's 4 - ns1.myserver, ns2.myserver, ns3.myserver & ns4.myserver) returns the queries? -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers CEO, SoftDux Web:

Mail delivery failing with 450
I'm not sure why this started, but apparently I'm having a DNS problem. Yesterday mail started bouncing with this error: 450 Unable to find obrien-pifer.com I think the messages eventually get delivered, but not sure. I guess I'll see if this one makes the list. I checked my domain using http://www.checkdns.net/ and it gives me a couple warnings. One is that there's no MX

which DNS backend ?
Hi Reindl, For me there lot of misunderstanding around DNS, especially when it comes to AD and a bit more when that AD is Samba AD. This thread just shows that once more time. I'm relatively new in DNS world and learnt a lot these last months, thanks to colleagues who are daily DNS admins and who accept to enlighten me a little bit. You claim to be a DNS admin and you said Rowland and you

[PATCH net-next 0/3] vsock: support network namespace
Hi David, Michael, Stefan, I'm restarting to work on this topic since Kata guys are interested to have that, especially on the guest side. While working on the v2 I had few doubts, and I'd like to have your suggestions: 1. netns assigned to the device inside the guest Currently I assigned this device to 'init_net'. Maybe it is better if we allow the user to decide which

IXFR regression in nsd 3.2.9?
We upgraded to NSD 3.2.9 (from 3.2.8) because we encountered the problem "Fix denial of existence response for empty non-terminal that looks like a NSEC3-only domain (but has data below it)." (a nasty problem with DNSSEC). But we now have IXFR issues. On one name server, NSD 3.2.9 works fine, zones are IXFRed and work. On another name server, with much more zones (and big ones), we
