Two matrix loop
Hi,
I'm trying to create a distance matrix. And it works out somewhat ok. However, I suspect that there are
some efficiency issues with my efforts. Plz have a look at this:
donor <- matrix(c(3,1,2,3,3,1,4,3,5,1,3,2), ncol=4)
receiver <-
matrix(c(1,4,3,2,4,3,1,5,1,3,2,1,4,5,3,5,1,3,2,4,5,1,2,3,1,4,5,5,1,2,1,3,4,3,2,5,5,1,4,2,5,4,3,2), ncol=4)
The above creates my two matrices. I have

FerretDonors page added to wiki
Hey folks,
I''ve just added a FerretDonors page to the Wiki (for those interested
we have raised $3915 to date). Currently it just has a list of donors
but I would like to add links for each donor to their personal and/or
business websites. This is something I should have done a long time
ago. I''d love to hear any suggestions as to how I can better recognize
these

R, clinical trials and the FDA
I hope that Marc doesn't mind, but I felt that part of his recent post
was important enough to deserve it's own subject line rather then
being lost in a 60-msg-long thread...

Conservancy (home of Samba) needs support for GPL enforcement.
Hi all,
You may not know, but The Software Freedom Conservancy
is the legal home of the Samba project.
However, most Linux-using corporations *really* hate
GPL enforcement. To the point where they'll pull funding
for diversity programs and try and get conference talks
cancelled.
I hope Samba users will help support Conservancy so it
can continue doing vital work for us and other projects.

recommended opus bitrate / opusenc setting for general?
Hey.
I just wondered,... which is the recommended bitrate and further
settings of opusenc (like complexity and framesize) for general music
(e.g. including classical music) to achieve more or less transparency?
Talking about CD level audio (16bit; 44,1 kHz; Stereo)
The only source I could find regarding that was:

Packages - a great resource, but hard to find the right one.
Fellow Rers,
Please forgive me if I have posted this to the wrong R list serve.
Over the course of the years that I have used R and participated in this list server, I have noted a large number of questions and answers that direct people to specific packages. The multitude of packages is one of the great strengths of R. Unfortunately there is no (or at least I am not aware of) any single source

simple association question
I have two models, Donor and Contribution, and have has_many and
belongs_to set respectively.
My question is regarding creation of associated objects. I''ll let the
code speak:
me = Donor.find(1)
contribution = me.contributions.create do |e|
e.amount = 164.00
e.category = Category.find(1)
end
I thought this was valid, but it doesn''t work properly - it appears to

Neosurge.com
All,
I would like to thank the latest donor to the CentOS project:
Neosurge.com. We have a nice new, shiny server to help get all those
updates out faster.
http://www.neosurge.com/
Neosurge has plenty of hosting options from normal website hosting to
dedicated / co-located servers. And I can vouch for the speed of the
traffic into the datacenters.
You can definitely get CentOS pre-installed
