Ubuntu LLVM packages incompatible with clang built projects?
Hi folks,
Not sure if this is the right mailing list target, but I'm trying out the
new LLVM 7.0 packages found at http://apt.llvm.org by porting over an
existing LLVM 6.0 project of ours to the new version. In doing so, I found
that the executable always segfaulted at the same spot with no explanation:

Ubuntu LLVM packages incompatible with clang built projects?
Just be aware that those ifdefs were recommitted and reverted several
times, so I'm not sure what the state is.

How to change IAX default port 4569 to some other port
Hi all,
All of a sudden all my IAX DIDs have gone down. I couldn't find any reason
other than that the ISP is blocking port 4569. DIDs register fine from my
home server, but not from office server, which is not behind any NAT. SIP
registers fine. I am trying to change IAX port but it apparantly IAX works
only on 4569. Changing it in iax.conf doesn't do anything. Changing it is

IAX port 4569
Another might be to make sure iptables isn't blocking the connection.
You can run
iptables -L -n -v
To see if its set to block any ports.

IAX port
HI ALL:
I am newbie to IAX, my iax.conf is as follows:
[general]
port=5036
.....
but I donot why it doesnot listen on UDP PROT 5035, instead it listens on 4569
Asterisk CLI debug says:
[chan_iax2.so] => (Inter Asterisk eXchange (Ver 2))

Excessive VNAK's and jitter over IAX2
Howdy,
I recently saw something strange with a call between *'s over IAX2.
There are actually 3 *'s involved. The setup is like this:
SIP phone ------(ulaw over LAN)------ *1 -------- IAX2 (ulaw over
Internet) ---------*2--------(GSM over Internet)
-----------*3--------(ulaw over LAN)------ SIP phone
Now what is shown below is the Asterisk in the middle, that is doing the

Do public wifi block IAX port 4569
I've installed zoiper on my old phone and it works on my private network over wifi.
I'm using standard IAX port 4569, so this port is open on my firewall.
But when I catch open wifi network in a mall or a Tim Horton "zoiper" fail to register.
Do they block IAX port 4569 or IAX protocol?

IAX port 4569
Does asterisk listen on port 4569 by default?
I'm running version Asterisk 11.25.1 and have a problem registering
Zoiper (IAX) to Asterisk.
I'm getting an error:

IAX port 4569
Use the command bellow to check if is Asterisk opening the port.
netstat -nap | grep 4569
You need to see something like this output, otherwise your asterisk is
not opening the port.
udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:4569 0.0.0.0:*
10244/asterisk

IAX port 4569
You can use tcpdump in your server to verify if it is receiving the
packets.
tcpdump -ni any port 4569
So you have more than one ip in the server?

IAX port 4569
I think you need to increase verbose output and search in
/var/log/asterisk/full for any error message related to IAX2 registration
or simil.

IAX port
Hi!
Sometimes IAX peers are not reachable and with "iax2 set debug on" I get something like this

Broken DNS makes Asterisk whacky!
Check this out. I recently closed a bug I had written, #495
"ExtraChannel in transfer causes crash" Now I've been able to reproduce
it, and somewhat narrowed down the culprit. But before I write another
bug report, I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced the following
(or would like to try:)
When DNS (or outside connection to the network, not sure which) is
broken and

Alternatives to FXS cards?
Hi everyone,
I know someone makes a product that's a POTS phone to SIP converter,
where you just plug your POTS phone in one side and the network cable in
the other. Has anyone successfully used any of these with Asterisk, and
if so how expensive were they?
I ask partly out of frustration with the FXS cards but mostly because it
would make installation MUCH easier for what we're

I've been trying to search the archives for older messages, but the

only seems to go back a few days. Is there another archive somewhere
that goes back farther?

I'm implementing a Java-based IVR server (and yes, I know Asterisk does
IVR, and no, it's not flexible enough to do what I want and no, it
doesn't integrate well with the Java

registering IAX with Teliax
Hopefully this is really a generic question about IAX and doesn't turn out
to be something specific to Teliax, because they haven't been too helpful
so far. All they can tell me is that my login shows "status unknown" on
their end, which prevents me from receiving inbound calls on my Teliax
number. Outbound calls through the same server work fine, which rules out
most networking
