I have to object to that, as a rule of thumb the Dutch only rob tourists who
are dressed like tourists and act like tourists, that's what we all agreed
to here and live by -- please just dress local and act local, so we can
finally stop smoking pot just to keep

Re: Asterisk European Tour: was RE: * Party in Paris
Florian,
Sorry you haven't heard anything but we've recently decided not to offer this product out side of Holland. If your still interested we have another product called ISDN-Flex that provides SIP/H.323 PSTN access inbound/outbound but you need to be connected on on one of our IP or MetroLan products so we can guarantee the QoS.
Rgds,
Adam

OT: ManxPower 2005 European Tour
I've helped a lot of people on the mailing lists and on IRC #asterisk.
and wanted to let people know that I will be in Europe between May 19
and June 21. Stockholm (VON 2005), Brussels (holiday/vacation),
Amsterdam (holiday/vacation), and Madrid (Astricon). There are
several weeks during my trip that I have no current plans for and may
add other cities to my itinerary.
I'm looking

Fwd: Re: Poisson GLM using non-integer response/predictors?
Hi,
Use offset variables if count occurrences of an event and you want to
model the
observation time.
glm(count ~ predictors + offset(log(observation_time)), family=poisson)
If you want to compare durations, look at library(survival), ?coxph
If tnoise_sqrt is the square root of tourist noise, your example seems
incorrect, because it is a predictor, not the dependent variable

Spatial AND Temporal Dependency with lme, or other function?
Hi,
I've got a new dataset which I don't know how to analyze with R. My knowledge about R is limited for this kind of problem. I've tried to find a solution with some spatio temporel packages and lme/lmer functions, but didn't find any similar example.
I've got 10 locations on a coast on which the number of walrus was noted. I've got a distance measure between each

CentOS 6.x desktop specs: minimum requirements
Hi,
I often have to deal with relatively obsolete hardware in schools,
public libraries, small town halls, etc. I still have a handful of
CentOS 5.x installations around for these, but I wonder what CentOS 6.x
desktop specs are, e. g. the minimum requirements (in terms of CPU and
RAM) to reasonably run it. Will a battered first-generation P-IV with
512 MB RAM be sufficient? How much RAM does

Asterisk and USB ISDN controllers ...
Guys,
I am planning on building a small SIP PBX with a single ISDN line. Currently
I am looking into the specs of a very tiny barebone system that has an
option Colognechip base ISDN controller. The only thing is that the ISDN
module that comes with this barebone hooks up to the motherboard using USB.
My intention is to allow incoming and outgoing calls from SIP to ISDN. Is
this setup in any way

Poisson GLM using non-integer response/predictors?
Great lists, I always find them useful, thank you to
everyone who contributes to them.
My question is regarding non-integer values from some data I
collected on parrots when using the poisson GLM. I observed the parrots on a
daily basis to see if they were affected by tourist presence. My key predictors
are tourist noise (averaged over a day period so decimal value, square root to
adjust for

Adding Nested Partitions To A Mount Point
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is possible to mount a drive
(single partition) to a nested directory on an existing Samba mount
point and have the entire structure considered one drive?
The situation is this. I have a large drive mounted to a share called
"/pub". This has been identified as my Samba mount point and all works
as it should. What I would like to do is

CentOS 7 : network interface renamed from eth0 to eth1 after reboot
Hi,
I've done my fair share of CentOS 7 installations, but this is the first time I
have this kind of weird problem. Here goes.
In my office I have a battered Dell Optiplex 320 PC with two NICs that I'm
using as a bare metal sandbox server for testing purposes.
The CentOS 7 installer sees the connected network card as eth0. But after the
first reboot, the interface comes up as eth1.

ISDN PBX + IVR + Voicemail Configuration - S anity Check ...
Klaus-Peter (while hardly able to see through my watery eyes),
You've earned yourself a (potentially rackmountable) 19" Dutch cheese as
soon as the zaptel driver is finished and tested. In fact, I don't even have
to mail it, I can pratically bring it over !
Although I'll be monitoring your site on a 24hrs/day basis from now on,
please keep me posted on both the driver and the 4

ISDN PBX + IVR + Voicemail Configuration - Sanity Check ...
Hi All,
First of all, please no flames about the footer of this message. It's being
inserted into all outgoing email by the server here without asking me
personally first once I send out email. Since I've been very interested in
setting up an Asterisk PBX + IVR + Voicemail system to support a small
business and a foundation for quite some time now, in order to replace their
current ISDN

kickstart ks.cfg file on USB devices
Is there an easy way to specify the proper device location for
the kickstart configuration file if it is on a USB flash or USB
floppy drive? Depending on the hard disk configuration they
might by /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, etc.
On SuSE'autoyast instalattions, the system searches all available
devices for an ``info'' configuration file. Does CentOS 5.x do
something similar to find a

tar vs. star vs. something-else-I-don-t-know-about
Hello all,
today I've been sitting at work and upgrading a very-very-very old
server with RedHat Linux 6.2 installed up to CentOS 3.8. The process
went smoothly, as it is not the first time I was doing the things like
this. Just after upgrading I went to rpm -qai list and got an
interesting observation: there are at least two "tar" utilities installed
on the system.
One is tar, and

DHCP logging settings
I find that libvirt clogs up syslog with trivial DHCP notifications. I
know how to configure alternate logging with dnsmasq directly via
'log-facility' and/or 'quiet-dhcp' options but the XML format used by
libvirt appears to have no equivalent options. Is there a way to reduce
syslog spam from libvirt without switching to a system-wide dnsmasq service?
