Missing libs on install
I've run across a couple of things I'm not quite sure why, but just discovered the libtermcap.* was not installed from the CD's. I would have thought the termcap libs would be part of the base install, and in fact, when I retrieved them with yum, it does show "base" or "core". Is this just some errant behavior one time or is something broken in the install?

Repost ----DPMS or hardware
List, Did not get any response from the first attempt, so thought I'd ask again. I've been bugged by the fact that the dpms function will not work on this machine, and perhaps now I have some clue as to why. Looking at the Xorg.0.log, I see where "Open APM failed (/dev/apm_bios) (No such file or directory)" which tells me perhaps this is the reason why it won't turn

Screensavers on Centos-7
Hi all! I keep having problems with screensaver(s) on Centos-7. I have in the past liked Xscreensaver, so I've installed it and tried to suppress whatever other screensaver is on the system. Xscreensaver works fine for a day or 20 then quits working. After a lengthy battle I gave up and removed it. I'm now trying mate-screensaver, which does the same thing! when I say "quits

Radio software
Hi List, Does anyone know of any type of radio tuner software available for CentOS in either 32 or 64-bit versions? The card is an ATI X600. I've got the video driver from ATI installed, but they do not have any other user level software available. I think I remember reading something about some software being available for the BT chipset, but I'm a tad out of date on that.

ATI not supporting dpms
This workbox was thrown together with only a little bit of thought as to what the role would ultimately be, and at the time, I did not think it would ever wind up serving linux applications. Error #1 (my fault) Having a healthy pocketbook when I went into pick things up, I had already decided I wanted a good relatively mid-range graphics card, and I chose the ATI X600. (Error #2) As it turns

Raid with one disk?
Is it possible to set up a single disk raid (kind of redundant to call a single disk an array) but I've got a single SATA drive in the machine not doing anything. It's a 10k maxtor 74G drive, and what I really want is just to backup two home partitions. I can always reinstall the OS, but the data can't be recovered that easily. The mobo supports raid-0,1 and jbod. Suggestions? --

Thanks a
